Absolutely Wonderful

This app has made my life so much easier! It is well designed, great user interface, efficient, and it works well! Wow! I was very hesitant to use an iPad to read music but a few friends strongly suggested I try it. Best thing I done in years! I perform with a large number of orchestras, opera companies, chamber ensembles, etc. and this app works very well across all of those situations! ForScore is perfect! Thanks!

The marking features of this app are subpar. I prefer to upload my sheetmusic to a note taking app and annotating there there. The only reason why I do not do that is because they do not have the layering feature. The layering feature is useful since you often analyze various aspects of a piece. That, and the fact that you can safe certain sections of a large pdf as separate pieces (convenient for organization) are the only two decent good qualities of the app. Overrated. It does not feel smooth like all good apps do.

Very time consuming

If you’re transferring other charts, scanning and trying to rename and make set lists it’s very trial and error, all in all time consuming and not at all user friendly like 1Chart or Setlist maker.... I guess if you use a marker on your iPad and compose this may your ticket but for fast transfer/scan it very annoying...

Ulltimate app for charts

This is the app I use the most as a musician and instructor, period. The ability to just take full charts and quickly annotate on them, while adding a metronome button and place it in a setlist is all I needed to win me over when I was looking for a more consolidated way to bring charts with me everywhere, instead of loose papers. Thank you forScore for being in my life :)

I love everything except...

I love everything about forScore, except the crop tool. It needs much improvement - the ability not just to enlarge a score, but to actually cut a portion or to divide a page and treat each part as a separate page. I love the ability to ‘white out’ parts of the score and rewrite and to use that function to clean up a messy page. I also love the ability to copy, cut or rearrange pages. I love the libraries - now that I’ve taken the time to really learn how to use them, they are a marvelous tool since I play in two bands and sing in two choirs. And the set lists are a must have tool! One other area of weakness in ForScore is the ‘scan’ tool. It’s not much better than just taking a picture. I use Scanner Pro to scan and crop my scores then transfer to ForScore.

Feedback please

Hey I would definitely give this app five stars, but it needs to have edit features like one song: ie run 2 pages together in a long score. If I can do that please let me know! I use it a lot at my shows and integrates with garage band and Guitar Tabs pretty well!

Great app

But page turning gestures are not always recognized.

A must have for any professional musician

Hello, I wish to make a request. Can you add more metronome options within the button(s) feature? I can only select one tempo per page of music. Sometimes I need to add more than one tempo per page. Thank you for being able to include more than one pitch per page! Thank you for your consideration. John

Works Very very well

While this is the first time I'm using the product it appears very robust. I continue to learn something new each time I work with the program. Thank you for developing such a fine product.

My perspective

It’s hard to get a clear scanning and to turn pages
