Not a Scan and Play app

TrailBoss06

I bought this app based on information from the web that indicated this app could scan then play the scanned music. This app does not have that ability. From most of the reviews it apparently is very good at it's intended purpose it just didn't work for me.

I have been using Forscore for years and recently started using it exclusively, using nothing printed. I love how well lit the music appears. However, today, during a performance, I turned a page and the screen was blank. This had never happened before. I did my best while still singing from memory and touching every button until the music reappeared. The performance suffered for about 30 seconds while I figured it out. HOW WILL I EVER TRUST IT AGAIN?

Easy 5 stars

Amazing app for musicians, especially if you’re trying to go completely paperless.

Good features removed in last update.

I've been using this app for 8 years now and love it. I'm a of a church band, and the ability to have our vast library of music at the ready is amazing. Also great is being able to easily see our music in low light situations. As a guitarist one of my favorite functions is changing pages with a foot pedal and having the other band members' pages follow along. However, the reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5, is the fact that the cue function (which lets others follow my page turns) is now no longer easily accessible at the top of the app. Along with a few other great shortcuts, now I have to dive in to the bottom of the main menu to access that functionality. Also, the display feature to tell me that I am connected is leading disappeared with it. It makes it hard when your in the middle of a gig and have lost connection to need to search for the cue settings. Please fix this and bring back the easily accessible shortcuts.

Extremely Satisfied

As a long time professional musician, I have carried many volumes of cumbersome notebooks not to mention heavy, bulky stands to support the charts. For years I wished for a digital program to do the job. I spent a great deal of time searching YouTube for a solution. After exploring other programs, I decided to use ForScore. The timing was perfect with lots of time on my hands with the pandemic. It took me a while to ‘get into the swing’ but when I did, I took off. I play with several bands but also work as a solo vocal/ guitarist. I make notes on the chart such as digital drum setting, year and artist that published the tune as well as page numbers and most importantly annotations. I love the ability to organize sets and arrange the song order. The shuffle feature also provides excellent organization. When I’m performing often I get requests. If the tune is in my book, I do a search and within seconds the tune is at my fingers. I add tunes updating my book weekly having almost 800 tunes. I have a holder for my IPad as well as a Bluetooth pedal page turner making the operation more efficient. I no longer need to carry a heavy stand which makes my life easier. I was so impressed that I subscribe to the program receiving periodic updates. The program is a great value and I would strongly recommend it for the professional musician as well as the musician that just enjoys playing.

Love the app

Qwertyyuo

I use this app extensively. It is great for organizing and using music, so much easier than hauling around a pile of paper. Really pleased that recent updates allow opening of 2 scores at once, helpful when comparing part to score.

Great Program! Love the Synchronizaton Feature!

Use this all the time with my band. Was using an old MusicPad Pro and it finally died. This runs circles around it with it's ease of use and features. Love the pro version that allows me to sync my devices. Now my iPad, iPhone, and computer are always synced. I usually edit on the computer and they show on my other devices within seconds! Highly recommed this app!

Was a great app but one crucial feature has changed that...

Tim piano

The face gesture page turn is what made this app worth every penny. After the update, it works VERY intermittently, making the app pretty useless since all of the other features are found on other apps I can use just as well. I hope the face gesture page turn issues are worked out.

Nice app

GOD is the lord

A lot of nice features, a bit pricey. Worth it? Probably.

Not very good

Sometimes this app will not even open on the mac! I have to restart and that is not always effective. It will not sync with my Ipad. Frustrating for sure but I just IrealPro when this happens. That said it is great on the ipad! I do need it though to work on the ipad.
