Crashes on iPad Pro

stevenlynnhall

Just paid $20 for an app that crashes on my iPad Pro.... How do I get a refund?

About back up problem

When using a computer to back up the score, the marks made on the score cannot be backed up. I hope to improve this problem.

Simply The Best

Worth every penny x10. I use it every day on an iPad, an iPhone, the Apple TV, and now on my Mac? Awesome! Just needs iCloud syncing. Coming ? The Mac app is a great first start and I'm excited about the possibilities like taking the annotation tools to the next level.

Absolutely the best!

I hate writing reviews and haven’t written one in a long time but forScore is in a category of its own. I’ve used this app for years (piano) and I love it. Recently they added page turning using facial gestures. You need the forScore Pro subscription ($10/year) and a newer iPad (one without a home button). It’s truly wonderful. No more clunky page turners or missed taps. I use the mouth (lips) movement since this isn’t a facial gesture I make normally. I’ve turned off the backwards page turn since I copy and reorder the pages of a piece using the forScore reorder function. Annotating scores is easy and works seamlessly with the Apple Pencil. The metronome and importing mp3’s and m4a’s are also features I use all the time. Thanks forScore for making playing the piano even more fun!

Great for organizing

I like how you can organize by projects and genres; perfect for a musician who is performing in several groups and styles

Literally, the reason I bough the IPad

I recently got my device and downloaded ForScore the moment I turned it on for the first time and love it. My only problem is that since I use scores that are most of the times 100 pages or more, when I try to rearrange and remove pages on these larger scores the app crashes and doesn’t save any of the pages that were erased. I’m sure this can be fixed and hope it is soon.

Got a problem

Horse logger

Love this app and it has had plenty of use. With a potential playlist of over 300 songs it is my go to for all gigs. However lately (January 2021) I am opening it to a blank screen. I shut it down and re-open several times, finally the original start up page comes up and I can proceed. Kinda scary so will move stuff to the competition at least for back up. I must say though it has been perfect and pre Covid we played out 80 times a year. Good stuff.

NOT Corrupted!

Can't figure out how to change a review... I gave a 1-star review yesterday - cancel that. Downloaded today, It works just fine. Really looking forward to doing layouts and markups on my mac. The iPad I use is so big it's kind of cumbersome for that. I'm a pianist and violist, and have used forScore for jobs, weddings, churches, orchestra, and various performances for many years, it has really improved my musical life. For one thing, TURNING PAGES! For another, carrying around big loads of books and music. Many other benefits. I love it.

Useless for encrypted files.

Yea good luck with that.smh

Still a glaring bug...

Great and useful app - has solved my frustration with the inconsistency and cumbersome user interface with iGigBook and a superior replacement for that app. However, I've run into a persistent bug - when trying to batch-edit and assign a genre or keyword to a list of songs using 'select-all', the result is often that only the first song in the list receives the assigned attribute, requiring me to go back and perform the batch-edit process a second time to get it to work. Another issue is for those using the attached audio track feature. Many musicians use this to play backing tracks while playing a song in a professional, solo performance setting. This works fine as long as no pop-up alerts/notifications (calendar, etc.) are triggered during audio playback, as the alerts will interrupt and stop playback (not sure if this is only for 'audible' alerts or all alerts). In any event, the app should offer a setting to turn off alerts and notifications while the app is running. If the developer fixes these issues, I will gladly upgrade my rating. *Update 2/8/21 Love the app but now the iPhone version is buggy. I installed the new app (although I was never alerted there was a new app to replace the old one which crashed - iOS 14.3 BTW); until I searched the app store and found it. Now the LATEST version is opening with a blank screen that does not transition to a home screen. I have quit the app and restarted my iPhone - same issue. Really a shame - pros depend on this app. Please fix it.
