I don’t know what they have done, but this app just does not work. You have to press each button multiple times to get anywhere, biometric authentication does not work. The screen constantly greys out while it gives you the spinning wheel of death. It’s basically useless. I’ve reinstalled it twice now and no improvement. Garbage.

Love this app!! Love that FNB is pushing boundaries with the app and digital life... Much needed additions are: Apple Pay!! Multiple savings spaces, so you can save towards specific goals and see the percentage of your overall goal. No card numbers on the cards, this is for our safety, you should be able to login to your banking app to view these details if need be. Will also make the card neater. Discreet mode that toggles all your balances to blurred/hidden, that allows you to use your app in public.. without worrying about people looking over your shoulder.

The biggest problem with this app is the terrible layout of functions (FNB website has the same problem.) basic things like viewing acc details can take up to 10 minutes to navigate. It is also a painful process to set up and verify the app. The app also does not offer basic functionality, like, closing an account, contacting FNB inform them of certain transactions. I would encourage to build this app from the ground up. Less complicated menu set up, with added basic functionality.

After the update the app stopped working on the IPhone 6s. Spent hours on the phone with the bank with no luck. Went to the bank to get help, spent a few hours on two days and still so progress. It’s been a week and my business can’t pay bills online. Surely something needs to change. Dan


Problematic update for business banking

The recent update has been a disaster for business clients. I have both my business and personal accounts linked to the app. The app acts as the authorization device for business transactions. Before, when an authorization is needed, I would receive a push notification that would take me to the screen to enter my pin and that’s done. Now, the push notification directs me to an empty page with no functionality. The only way is to change user to my business account and wait for the screen to pop up. In essence it broke the push notification system. This is an awful app. IT team should be fired for releasing something without the proper testing. True shocker.
