Works good but lost downloaded movies on one device

BigBearMike

I needed to download an MP4 movie to my sister's iPad. Her desktop computer died and she could not sync to iTunes so she asked me if I could do it. BTW, I'm an iOS developer with my own apps in the App Store so I'm pretty familiar with it. iTunes will not let you sync unless the device is authorized, you transfer content to iTunes, etc. Kind of a pain. I downloaded the flux player to my iPhone, downloaded the Flux Transfer program (free - just Google it) to my PC and connected my iPhone to the USB cable. When you start the flux player app and put it in transfer mode it waits for the PC to send. I then ran the PC transfer program and whalla, I was able to copy movies down. They took about 5 minutes to copy but it did what I need. The problem I have with this app (constructive criticism) is that when I copied movies to my sister's iPad, a few hours later she called me and said that movies were gone. I had checked when she left and it said they iPad had 18.4GB available. Two hours later there was 22GB available. The movies seemed to be gone. I had downloaded Flux Player to my iPad as well and the movies are still there. My iPhone also has the player and it is working okay. If I figure out why they disappeared I'll update my review. I also could not get the WiFi transer working with iOS4 or iOS5 using the Flux Transfer program on my PC. It may have worked with Microsoft Download but that requires a web address (http) and I just wanted to copy MP4 movies from my PC's file system. Great app for free though.

Flux Player Rocks!

Edfast702

I simply installed program on my PC running win7 & installed app on my iPhone 4S. I transferred the MP4 that I wanted & it did it wirelessly in 7 minutes; iTunes did not have to be open. Great picture & sound. I used flex player & this is by far much easier. Great app!!! Thank You! (Once you install on your iPhone, find the address in the App Store where you downloaded the app to download the program for your PC.)

Absolute junk

Atr72 driver

This thing is worthless. Have had it on my 4th gen iPad for several months, and a 2nd gen iPad for several months before I acquired the newer one. Almost every time I try to use it it gives me a validation error. Contacted support and they were not helpful at all. I was told there was an issue with my iPad and the correct time, and thus it is a hardware issue. When I informed them I had the same issue with the older iPad, they said its not a hardware problem but there's an issue with the correct time on your iPad. Played with those settings all to no avail. This thing just does not work, period.

DRM infected malware

Ocelots9

Stay far away from this DRM infected malware. Apple needs to do a better job keeping this crap out of the store.

Can't use Airplay?

svkinnan

Why can't I use Airplay to play movies on my AppleTV? I see something onscreen that looks like a menu, but nothing happens when I touch it.

Freezes and Crashes

Toyster26

Issue could be as developer has stated, app is most optimal with iphone 5s. I have a 4s and my iPad is the retina one that came out last year. Was hoping this would work for me.

NICE VIDEO PLAYER BUT NEEDS LOCK FROM PRYING EYES

DB4IP

@DEVS: PLEASE ADD A PASSCODE LOCK SO I CAN PREVENT OTHERS FROM SEEING THE MOVIES I HAVE PURCHASED.
