Simple setup and an easy to use app. The device has caught several issues over the year I have had it installed. A running toilet can go through 150 gallons an hour. Who knew? With five people in the family this app is useful.
Amazing, simple, effective

The Flume device coupled with the Flume app are incredibly impressive. I was able to install flume in minutes, and even though my meter is easily 200ft from my WiFi router the device has no problem connecting and communicating. The app is intuitive and has great built in customer support, as well as water use recommendations based on your home. Flume caught a leak from a hose on my house ON DAY 2! If it weren’t for this app it would probably be running for another week.

My family owns several investment properties on a lot and I was curious to know how much water was being used. I bought the flume system and we were immediately notified of a potential leak after it was installed. We quickly hired a plumber to investigate and he identified a problem with our sprinklers. Over the past 6 months we have already made up for the cost of the flume system and repairs to the sprinklers from our reduced water bill. I HIGHLY recommend this product not only for the awareness of potential leaks but also to keep track of your daily water usage.
Did Not Expect To Be Blown Away

I expected to have the Flume Water Meter & App just be another gadget in my home automation toolkit but it has completely blown me away. My water meter pit is a good 100 feet from my stand alone back house and it has no problems communicating to its receiver. Installation was beyond simple and everything needed came with the device. Even the tool to open up the pit. I even get notifications when it is disconnected from my WiFi (Frontier internet is horrible) and I use that disconnection data to show my service provider how inconsistent their service is and got them to come out to rewire the ancient box on the side of my house. I also found out that my sprinkler system had a pretty serious leak and it was accounting for 30-50% of my daily water usage! I never would have noticed this otherwise. I was even able to look at the data and pinpoint exactly where in the sprinkler cycle the leak was occurring! The device will pay for itself within the year due to the savings from that. I do get leak notifications when using a little water for small sporadic periods like washing off camping equipment but I was able to tweak the leak alert settings to fit my water usage and it’s been great ever since.

I purchased this device several weeks ago and it has saved me a lot of money. I installed the device over the meter as described and proceeded to calibrate. After about 30 minutes I received a notification that I had a leak. I assumed I messed up the calibration. I checked that all water usage had stopped, then recalibrated. Thirty minutes later another leak notification. I then walked the perimeter of the house and sure enough I saw an unusual pool of water on the side of the house. I dug it up to be sure there was nothing there. To my surprise I found a pipe which had a leak. Amazing.... My water bill subsequently arrived and it was more than $400 over our normal baseline. Without this device I expect it would have taken several more weeks to discover. Thanks for an amazing and seamless product. The only thing that I would love to see is support for HomeKit going forward.

I installed my Flume water sensor about half a year ago. The installation process was super easy, and didn't take much time. I am impressed with how accurate the device is! The data showed me that most of my water usage was from 5-6am, which is when my irrigation system runs. After I learned this I focused my efforts on ensuring that I wasn't overwatering my landscape. I made some changes to my irrigation schedule, and since then my water bill has been much lower! The sensor is extremely accurate. The mobile app let's you drill down into data about your water use, like the exact time a toilet was flushed. I also like the feature in the mobile app that shows your water usage compared to similar households. It makes me a lot more conscious of the amount of water I use.

It is rare to find such a simple and straightforward way to install and configure a new purchase. This is one of those cases. In 20 minutes I was up and running. It was dead easy and the product is accurate and will make a great watchdog. If you can download an app from the App Store you can use this product. It monitors your usage and not only keeps your water bills low...but protects your home from catastrophic leaks. Five gold stars!!
Can’t connect to WiFi

Can’t connect to WiFi. App locks up when it can’t connect, no way to cancel/reset setup procedure/delete device. After getting through setup the rest of the app and product are great.

This app has a nice simple layout and easy to use along with the hardware. It would be nice in maybe a future release that the app allows you to put in the cost per gallon so that an estimate can also be calculated. Otherwise, this is a great product and support is fantastic.
