Zero investment in engineering

This application is absolute garbage. The UI is nice enough, but it is absolutely riddled with bugs. It crashes unexpectedly all the time, some features (like changing the order of flows or 1-1’s) fail to save, or crash the app when attempted, or both usually. Text disappears mid-draft. Flows don’t update in real time. The notifications screen fails to update, or fails to take you to the thread when clicked, or crashes the app, usually some combination. We use the desktop app constantly at our office, so we’re sort of forced into Flowdock, but how on earth they haven’t resolved these and many other bugs in the mobile app is impossible to understand.

Cannot keep track of read messages

De Wildt

I’m somewhat disappointed in the flowdock app because it cannot seem to keep track of how many unread messages I have. It constantly shows an app badge with unread messages. When I mark them all read it continues to show the badge until I completely quite the app and restart it. On top of that the app is very laggy and I regularly get errors that require me to restart the app. More often than not I get a new message push notification on my iPhone but I cannot find that message in the app, quitting and restarting usually sorts it out. As for the app experience it is very cumbersome finding a contact in the list to message because the list isn’t sorted alphabetically. I’m sure the flowdock team has a meaningful reason for this and its probably because I am not using flowdock the way it was intended. So perhaps this may just be an issue because I never remove conversations.

This version crashes when you try to view notifications

Perropicante

Anytime I try to see my notifications from the app, it crashes. Impossible to view @team or @me globally now, need to go through each flow or use the iOS Notification Center

iPhone app is terrible

TWarnock

The app gets confused often and tells me I need to upgrade, which forces me to go to the app store. It also tells me there's errors trying to check for an upgrade. It also does not clear notifications consistently, and will not update a thread unless you explicitly refresh it. Basically, it does not feel like a connected collaboration tool. Our team is probably moving to slack soon if things do not improve.

Crap software

fiziksphreak

This is very poorly written software. It doesn’t update when clicking through the notifications list. New posts don’t show if the app is already open. I have to hard close the app (open the task manager screen and swipe it off) and then restart it to see the new posts. The software was buggy when I started using it a year ago but it has only gotten worse (especially over the last couple months). The only reason it is still on my phone is because the pop up notifications, when someone tags me directly, still work.

Terribly buggy app

matt.gibson

This is one of the buggiest, most annoying apps that I’ve ever used. It fails at core functionality: notifications, lazy load, actually refreshing flows where active conversation is happening, etc. Don’t get me wrong, I like flowdock. The web version is great, desktop version too. The mobile app is just a piece of junk. If I’m at home and get a push notification, I’ve started resorting to unpacking my laptop to respond to messages.

Clunky and slow

Doc bowden

It takes 10 seconds to read a text and 5 minutes to get rid of the red notification alert. Incredibly annoying and time wasting. How difficult is it to get the notification system working correctly?

Long time user... this app just keeps getting worse

When are you going to fix the iPhone app to where you can search for someone to start a convo with? It’s completely broken and how something so core to a communication app made it into your production environment needs to be addressed.

Needs improvement

Please reinstall the notifications back in the app. I like to see all the notifications I get messaged on and while I use this app on my IPhone, it doesn’t give me this option so I always have to go into a certain flow and search for my name which is pretty frustrating. Another thing is all my direct messages to people are all over the place. I have people in certain order on my desktop for convenience. On my iPhone, the names are all mixed up. While messaging in the certain flows, if I respond to a notification, it will show up but once I click out of it and go back I can no longer see my response. So if I’m working on a few different notifications, it’s hard to remember what I responded. Please fix ASAP. I use this app everyday and it’s so difficult to use while on my iPhone. Thank you and appreciate the app overall!

What’s the point?

I really don’t understand why this product is so bad. I’d have better luck with a carrier pidgin.
