Premium??

koteeeeeeeeeee

I used to love flo. I’ve used it for years to track my period and my pregnancy even until now. I paid for premium for a year and my subscription just recently ran out. I’m in a position as of right now that I can’t re new my subscription. But my reason for making the review is because when I first started using flo and even when they first introduced premium , it was an OPTION to upgrade your account. Now that I no longer have it , it won’t even let me look at my daily pregnancy insights without upgrading the app and i think that’s totally unfair. The other insights I can understand why those are locked but basically all I can do is read and chat with other women in the secret chats. It makes the app totally obsolete if you don’t have premium. At least I have other pregnancy apps that I’ve also been using but at this point , I can really delete flo now because I don’t really use secret chats anymore and that’s not the point of the app anyways. I don’t get on flo to use the secret chats and this is sad. When I got the developers response , they said “we understand you are upset that we moved some of the features out of the free plan”. If you read what I said thoroughly, they took EVERYTHING out of the free plan. Like I said , all I can do is view secret chats and that’s NOT why I downloaded the app. Maybe if I had a period and wasn’t pregnant , then I could view my daily insights but the app is basically useless to me. I’m surprised that it let me read about the week of pregnancy I was on!!

Annoying

TGIF

All I want are notifications that my period is coming up but I constantly get notifications about hormones, feelings, questions, extremely annoying. Even though I’ve only checked notifications for menstrual cycle. I’ve informed the company of this last year and they don’t fix that issue that I’m sure many don’t like. I’ll be looking for another app. Two stars only for the period tracking part.

Add a reminder to take out vaginal ring!

It would be amazing if you added a reminder to take out the vaginal ring, because right now there is just a reminder to put it in, but it’s important to take it out on a specific day! ❤️❤️

FLAWED

Apparently when syncing with the Health app, Flo does not import your “Activity” data. You know, the data that has all your physical activity, such as exercise & cardio health. At the end of each cycle the Flo app shames me for “not walking as much as other users.” I actually exercise 4+ days a week, but how would Flo know that? It doesn’t sync the relevant data!! I looked into this & apparently it’s been a problem for the past 5 YEARS. Flo- please fix this. Is it really too much to ask that I have accurate health data at the end of each cycle? NOT HAPPY I paid for a premium subscription, since apparently it’s useless.

Above just a period app

Amanda_bubble

I used this app for a couple years to track my period and symptoms every month. (Like most). And I found it very useful to see symptoms that I would get routinely every month, especially since I wasn’t always exactly on schedule. At the time I always had my period every month and from my knowledge I thought it was normal the cycle lengths I had. But after two years Flo popped up with a notification letting me know “Your symptoms match up with people who have PCOS and thought was aren’t drs. We think you should ask or bring it up to your OBGYN.” My phone died right after and when I would try to look it up later I constantly ran in to pms. Acouple years pass and I out of the blood skip my period for three months with no pregnancy but period pains with no blood. I call my obgyn and they tell me. “We think you have pcos, we are gonna do blood work to make sure but we are pretty certain” blood work came back and I was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. Which was a relief and yet scary all at the same time. But it made me think back to when the Flo app sent me that message years prior, telling me to chat with my dr. I really appreciate this app and the developers for recognizing that pcos is a thing and people can go through life not every knowing or being diagnosed. So I told my dr about how my period tracker on my phone recommended I chat with them about it. So if you had any thoughts on why this app is so useful and above the rest. This is why it meant so much to me!

Always wrong

rosedioni

I’ve tried to use this app to track my periods but it is always predicting the timing incredibly wrong. I tried to give it some time to adjust I’ve changed my cycle settings and it’s always off. My period is pretty regular and I can always just about predict when it’s going to come so I’m not sure why the app is so off. I still use it to track my symptoms and other things but it is useless when it come to tracking my period

All paid features

Immediately hit by paywall. I’m not going to pay for something I can track on a paper calendar. Description should include subscription required.

Do not give out false information
