Great Idea for an app, However I put it in full mode for 30 minutes for the free version but afer a few hours of still not turning on I got freaking scared. I turned it on and off serveal times, I did a hard reset but my apps STILL didn't come back. There was no way to get any of my apps back my safari, and my app store were gone. It wasnt in till I went to my management in settings it started working again. It was still a huge head ache.

Everyday tool for law student

I use Flippd pretty much every day Monday-Friday. I’m a law student and use it both at school and for internships. As someone who has no self control and found apps that simply reminded me to get off my phone to be completely useless, I use flippd full lock and think the price to upgrade is very reasonable. I do wish that once the full lock ends, my apps would back in their original order and that I wouldn’t have to go back and turn on push notifications for each app again.

Amazing,but...

I think this app is wonderful. I especially love the full lock option because it makes it so that you can’t use your distracting apps, whether you like it or not. My only suggestion for the developers would be to put an option to automatically flip your phone off at certain times. Unfortunately, I’m addicted to using my phone in bed and waste a massive amount of time because of that; it can be difficult for me to always choose to hard lock my phone since a part of me doesn’t want to. I think it’s safe to say that there are many others out there who have an addiction to social media (for example, due to Facebook’s never ending scroll feature on the newsfeed). I believe those trying to cut down on phone time before bed, in the morning when they wake up, etc. can benefit a lot from an auto-flip feature. Hope we can see this sometime soon! Other than that, the app works very well and I haven’t encountered any problems with it. Great job! Edit: I changed my rating from 4 stars to 5 because they’re unable to include an automatic feature due to limitations of the iOS. Hope that changes soon!

Really helpful for app addiction

I use this when I start obsessively checking my phone for notifications or when hooked on word games I play. I wish it could be selective—for example I’d rather not see my dog tracker disappear.

The app does what it claims however it has a tendency to affect the settings of the app and messes up with the original organizations of the app

App Issue

I was enjoying this app until today when I set it on full lock for 4 hours at 10am. By 5pm my phone was still locked and I had to spend a long time figuring out how to get rid of the app controls. Please fix.

I LOVE THIS APP.

It’s been great for me. I just wish that in full mode, you could whitelist certain apps like Gmail or Docs/Word, because I like to be able to work/do homework on my phone for accessibility sometimes. Other than that, there’s no other problems!! If this feature were added I would absolutely rate it 5 stars.

Needs improvements. I locked my phone and got a notification that I had failed my session (because I left it on Spotify on my 60 second break). Too bad it doesn’t detect my phone is not being used. Great app that helps me from being distracted during studying. Is there a way to get more than a 60 second break? Would love that if I’m doing longer studying intervals.

Waste of $

Premium doesn’t work.

Schedule/reminder needs to change to automatically tune on

What’s the point of having to pay $3.99 a month to just have “unlimited reminders”of turning on the “flip off” on my phone? I can just set unlimited reminders on my phone calendar app (and it’s free!). People who has phone addiction need to have mandatory schedule to “flip off” their phones. Most of us don’t have the will power to “flip off” the phone that’s why we download the Flipd in the first place. Also the reminder is rather weak because it’s only a one time notification. If we don't have our phone in our hand at the exact set time, we would miss the notification. This Reminder itself is simply not effective enough. Setting up a “flip off” schedule is a commitment upfront. After a reminder asking if we want flip off our phone, there should be an option to opt out (no, I don’t want to flip out”) instead of opt in (yes, I want to flip out). So that if we don’t do anything that means we agree on our set schedule and the phone should automatically turn “flip off”, not the other way around. The app did good on the technology of hacking our phones and hiding all the apps, but not so good at behavior change strategies. I won’t be paying another $3.99 for the pointless reminder.
