Since school was closed due to the pandemic, Flipgrid has allowed me to connect with my students and keep them engaged in learning content and continued socialization. This app is extremely important right now for the Social and Emotional Learning students need to stay balanced and feel safe in unsafe times. I will continue to utilize this great tool every school year. It works well with Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams, both platforms I use in my class. Thank you, Microsoft for creating this amazing App!!!

Got this app as a way to engage college students attending their orientation program. Currently using it with my staff for training and hoping it will scale up when used with 100+ college students at a time.

My toaster is not working

So when I used Flipgrid I always ALWAYS pronounced it “Flip-a-grid”. When I was on a zoom meeting I called it Flip-a-grid. Everybody stared at me awkwardly. Now my toaster isn’t working.

I’ve been using flip grid for a few years with my 4th grade students & they keep adding features that make it better and better. I love the whiteboard and ability to add a picture of students work to have them show you how they are working it out. It was a lifesaver for recording videos of me working through problems during home learning. My students think it’s so neat to record themselves & it has definitely helped empower those that might not typically speak up in class!
