Do not use this app

I loved this app but now they are switching service providers and haven't deposited a full days worth of credit card transactions. They will not return calls or support emails. Do not use this app anymore.

Why change!?

_Saylaxo7_

I do some work on the side and I need something that will allow me to accept credit/debit cards and that was easy for me to use- so when I found Flint in the App Store over a year ago, I was beyond excited. I used Flint happily until about 3 weeks ago when I received an email saying they are combining their services with stripe.com; that's when everything changed. I am very disappointed- I just deleted the app and I am on the hunt for a new app.

Incompetent

Do not use this app! They did not deposit monies into our account. They were very unhelpful with unsettled transactions. They notified us after a week to call our customers and have them rerun their card.

Great App - Customer Service to be determined

ETRugs

When I discovered Flint, I was super excited over the ease of the app and simplified low rates. Customer service was iffy. One time I got an immediate response (increasing my credit limit - imagine that) and another time when app wouldn't work on husbands phone - never got a response. Then like everyone else I received an email about the transition to a new platform and found myself without a processor. I thought it would be a few days. It ended up being weeks with zero communication from Flint. It finally came back up and of course you have to agree to the new terms but they did not make it clear they changed your rates too. I did email asking them what was happening with my rates and I did get a response right away. But I'm still very unhappy with the way they handled the whole transition and I'm not too happy about my rate going to 3% across the board plus $0.30 per transaction. Left a sour taste in my mouth. I just might jump ship if I come across a better situation. With that being said, the app does work well. No card reader needed is awesome. I come across a better situation.

Garbage is worth more

Within a week of downloading the app, I needed to contact customer support. I have scheduled call back times and sent numerous emails. That was 5 weeks ago, I still haven't received a call or email, even acknowledging my issue much less resolving it. But what do I get instead? My account has been locked and I cannot do anything with it aside from changing the name and email associated with it. I see no end in sight with this pathetic excuse for an app. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. If I could have given it negative stars I would have.

Flint Works Great So Far

Snooker545

I'm seeing all the reports that say this app is horrible. I have no doubt that those reports are because people have had a terrible experience using Flint. Fortunately for me, I've had no bad experience so far. This app has worked perfectly every single time I have used it. I admit these negative reviews make me a bit nervous. But, so far so good. I won't say anything negative if it keeps working great like it has.

Really Happy With This App

Didibird

When your business starts to get really busy this is a great app to use you simply scan and that's it your don't and best of all I'm how flint only takes 1% for each transaction. ????

Old and New platform works great

Ypsimom48134

I love Flint, it worked well for my business before the merger. I like lot of people did not read the email or they did read it thoroughly and I was dead in the water. I emailed Flint and they got right back to me and asked me to read the previous emails and sent me the links to register with Stripe. I did, now the cc side of my business is functioning again. My initial transaction with Stripe took 5 days to pay out, they sent an email saying that it would. But now I get paid almost immediately. I love that I can now send email receipts for cash and checks. I am a big fan.

The Change was not a Positive One

Bad Merge

I loved Flint before the change over. Though I hated the 5 day waiting period to receive $ from the merging at least they notified me. However, since then, what used to be an immediate deposit of funds now takes 3-4 days! They also charge more interest and will be charging monthly fees in the future from what I was told. Very disappointed! Found Square and will be using them!

Transition woes

Blackteir

Not sure what happened after the Flint-Stripe merger, and despite some assistance from both companies, I am still not able to "transition" in order to keep previous records intact. This is NOT a simple "5-minute" process, and rates were increased per charge. Unacceptable.
