Very fun

putermcgee

I'm not very good at lane-based strategy games, or card games even, but I'm having a lot of fun with this one. I love the art style, and the music is fantastic to boot. Looking forward to getting better and finally beating the game!

Who knew

Glecko

Great puzzler with a bit of strategy mixed in. Or is it vice versa? At any rate it's been a fun game to stumble on and spend time playing. I like the casual nature of it where I can pop in and pop out. The art and sounds are cool too. Art reminds me of another game I can't recall ... but love the flat, stylistic characters. Well done team.

Bug fixed

President John Henry Eden

The following bug seems to be fixed. -- When your enemy employs a vanish move, you can no longer attack him. Sometimes he just doesn't show up again and you can't finish the battle.

So close to perfect

InfiniteAwesome

With a little more polish this is absolutely a five star game, and am personally loving it so far. Gorgeous art Strategic gameplay Very replayable and just all around fantastic I did run into an issue where some enemies were stuck in the same position for a few turns, when in reality they had already attacked and gone back to a regular stance Also, after i used one of the potions, there were permanently green numbers above my heroes (would like to know what those were for in the first place) In the temple, the captive dodo is the same color as the carpet, which makes it seem like just some floating limbs For the better part of the temple, no numbers showed up when anyone was attacked When you play a card that allows you to discard, or when a character is stunned, you arent able to read the effects of the card, which is a little annoying Lastly, a tutorial would be lovely(: I think you just need to let the player know exactly whats going on in every move, like i have no idea what some of the enemy effects are- other than that, i truly love this game and would love to see more cards added. Turn based RPG's are my favorite and i hope you do make more!

Good ideas, but one breaking bug

Goedeke

The idea of a shared deck for all characters is interesting and the interrupt and block skills keep you thinking. However, once the Assassin character appeared as an opponent, about a third of combats ended with no opponents in the battle, but a full health bar in one of the enemy lanes. Had to force terminate the game and hope to conclude combat next time without the bug.

Rip off

Vlouie

Updated 11/1: gave this game a 3rd try and it's still awful. Uninstalled. Updated 10/31: company update the game to reset poor reviews. Still laggy as before, still a rip off. Don't buy Original review: Laggiest game on my phone at the moment (iPhone 5S latest updates). Game feels like a beta but the graphics look like a 5yr old arts and craft. There is zero tutorial and zero help. The buttons are not intuitive and the effects are so lagged that you cannot even guess what the buttons do. Waste of $3, I will be emailing apple why they allow garbage beta apps to be published.

Good stuff

Herbert Derps

Great game. Glad I picked it up.

Hard to understand what is going on.

FadedSoldier

It's not a terrible app. It is just hard to get a good strategy down because it is hard to figure out what is happening.

Disappointed

Rocketcat has made some of my favorite games. Sadly I feel FCQ lacks the polish and smart gameplay of their other efforts. It is very buggy (game just froze and lost progress after an hour of play) and things that should be clear to a player are not: when enemy attacks, exactly what a card does, etc. I like the art but the way enemies and your characters are stacked up in a line makes it hard to discern each figure and, worse, which character is highlighted. The map is ugly and adds nothing, and text size varies to fill the text box which is also ugly and just badly designed. Animations are not smooth and timing is off. Overall this game lacks the polish I expect from Rocketcat. The current gameplay is kinda fun but it feels random and a lot of the mechanics feel mysterious too. Plus the play sessions feel too long for a game that makes you start from scratch when you die. Makes replaying a drag. All that said I look forward to more games from this developer.
