Needs to graph set point

magistrate98

Why doesn’t it graph the set point? Having that on the chart with the pit temperature would be invaluable to track cooks where set points are changed.

Yoder integration is insane!

Steady Hawkin

This review speaks specifically about the integration with my Yoder 640S. Coming from another well known brand of smoker and app, the FireBoard is on a whole nother level. The amount of days you can log is insane. Pit temp, probe temps, auger speed, all laid out beautifully with different views available. Being able to add time stamped notes with photos helps to truly hone the absolute perfect cook. Plus, the ability to share the entire cook with friends is a classy touch. App response speed has also been flawless. Not only does the app look great on the iPhone, but they also have legit native iPad support. Your not stuck with using a scaled down iPhone version, or stuck awkwardly using the app in portrait, it’s a full beautiful landscape version. You can tell the people that make it actually use it. Lastly, the Apple Watch support is also excellent. You don’t get the full gauntlet of features you do on the iPhone/iPad, but you can quickly glance at it to check pit and probe temps. Perfect. Two things I would love to see in the future are a widget (would love to see the temps on my Home Screen without opening the app), and the ability to change the color of the different channels (hard to tell the difference between the two probes). Overall, I can’t speak highly enough of this beast of an app, you guys truly nailed it!

Best smoker app

jsingyy

Fireboard app is incredible and can be ran very basic as well has getting deep into settings! Paired with the Yoder, I promise you’ll never find a better setup.

Great app

Great app, works very well and is intuitive. I’d love a widget

Waste of Money

I would try any other product. I’m using this company’s latest and greatest with the fan. Out of the box it simply doesn’t work as advertised. I’ve tried this about five times with the same result, it overshoots the temp. If you have to spend the time equivalent to earning a college degree to learn how to use this thing to manage your smoker’s degree then what’s the point? It’s a fancy gizmo that is just extra steps.

Great app, room for improvement

Picked up a Fireboard 2 over the weekend when my other grill thermometer started acting up. The app is great, fairly intuitive, and was able to set a max temp for the meat and a min/max range for the ambient temp very easily. Plot view is very helpful as well. Three things on the wish list for me are 1) ability to view the plot in landscape view so the x-axis is elongated for better time resolution, 2) ability to assign colors to the probes - the yellow and orange colors were fairly similar and would like to assign more contrasting colors to the plot, and 3) ability to view plot of individual probes without overlay of other probes. Overall great experience and no issues with functionality during my cook. Highly recommend the product and app.

Newest update ruined it

Thescatterling

The app no longer consistently receives temperature readings from the base unit. This problem did not occur before this update.

Used to be near perfect

Every time I try to stop a program (or start a new one in the first ones place) it refuses to stop. Makes changing target temps impossible without resetting the base and app. What happened to FireBoard? It’s been about 3 months since my last smoke and my version 1 base is nearly unusable. Smoker hasn’t moved in 2 years but now the base refuses to stay connected to Wi-Fi. Temps appear to be off till I restart the base then they jump by 20 degrees. And my favorite feature, a drive cable that emits a constant sound from the dumb speaker. Turning the toggle off/on in the app does nothing. Is this planned obsolescence?

Update changed dashboard ?

New update has zoomed the dashboard out to well over 700 degrees... can't see crap with multiple probes and drive going when app is zoomed out that far.... TERRIBLE

Fireboard with Google Home

DaveCanan

Overall, I’m very happy with this app. However, I am having one issue with it with the integration of it with Google Home. I cannot seem to get it to accept the proper temperature that I’m setting an alert to. For example, let’s say I want to set an alert on channel 1 to 125. I use the command “set alert on channel 1 to 125”.In response, it’s sets the alert to 25°. I have tried all sorts of ways to say 125 but it won’t seem to accept anything. I have tried one two five, one hundred twenty five, 125 degrees and everything responds with 25. Not sure what I’m doing wrong or if this is a bug.
