Ummm so the videos and photos downloaded can’t be saved to cameras roll, Because the app crashes

As many have stated, this program used to be called “Downloads” before iOS 11 came out, then it became unusable with the new OS. So then our friend Hian Zin Jong releases this update, gives it a different name, and charges more for it. The number one reason I even downloaded “Downloads” before was because of the ability to download movie and song files from the Internet. This new “Files App” has removed that functionality completely and is charging more. The only reason I downloaded and bought this was because I thought it would be just the same as the old “Downloads”. It’s not. So what you have is a basic Internet browser that has less functionality as the loaded Safari for iOS. Let’s not even get into Mr. Jong’s customer service as there is none and he replies to nothing. “Files App” is constantly crashing for the most mundane functions. It’s literally garbage. As far as I’m concerned this app is a waste of your time and money and you should look elsewhere. Congratulations on scamming so many people out of their money Mr. Wang. Capitalism is alive and well.

Was sad to find out that this was no longer Downloader. I got the light version of this back in 2011 and immediately bought the full version. I’ve used it all until last night when I decided to update ios, and honestly i regret it just because I lost all my music and Downloader doesn’t work anymore...

Crash on my iphone 7 and ipad pro latest firmware. Can’t watch videos or download, stay for few minutes sometimes few seconds and crashes. Please fix it When will you release an ipad update? With split view and file drop PIP support. Please update the app with better features and stability improvements

First, I’ll begin with A Word About YouTube: You CANNOT Download YouTube files using this App. If that’s what you seek - it’s not here. Secondly, any review which states this is not a functional tool for downloading is blaming the app, but they’re the reason it doesn’t perform. They'd be far better off spending their time entering the correct MIME types in the App’s Settings (well it only takes 2 minutes - but then they’d be able to download and quit yapping like a little mutt. The UI, reliability and performance of this app are top-notch. The built-in Web Browser has the most effective Desktop User Agent I’ve used, period. This App is a well-crafted tool. And it has a great deal in common with all other tools: a). used properly = highly effective! b). used improperly = highly ineffective! If you’re clueless about MIME Types and Setting Up the App for your specific files & needs? Write the Developer, tell him your device, iOS version and for example say ‘I’d like to configure my MIME Settings for video files, audio files, pdf files and GIF files. Tell him once he sends those you’ll upgrade to the full version. You'll want to upgrade to the Full Version via In App Purchase. About Me: I bought the iPhone 1 the moment the Apple Store in RI opened it’s doors on June 29, 2007. Ten years of iPhones & 4000 Apps later; I’ve learned quite a bit about iDevices and Apps. And this is a winner!! Highest Recommendation!!
