Great product for Learning Guitar, Bass, or Ukulele

ProfessorJay

I’m an advanced player (20+ years) on several stringed instruments (Guitar, Violin, Mandolin, Bass, Ukulele, etc) I’ve gone through most of the guitar (acoustic & electric) styles and the lessons. I’ve done a few years of the bass and ukulele paths. All of the instructors and lessons are easy to follow; the songs for each lesson are great in each genre. This is a top notch music instruction on an app level. Bravo Fender! The glaring things missing from the app currently, but are probably in development Jazz Paths & Bluegrass paths. Blues and Country paths can hit some of those missing jazz and grass areas, so fingers crossed that either way those lessons are developed.

Why?!

I’m looking to learn the Uke but all the apps need a subscription! I don’t have the money and YouTube tutorials aren’t very helpful!

Pretty fun for an old guy

Classic Jazz

I didn’t know where to start when I decided to learn how to play the guitar. So I went to a pawn shop and bought a 50 dollar guitar and then found the Fender app. This thing is great. I can use it once a day or three times a day. It is ready whenever I have time and the lessons start just where I need them to start, right at the beginning. So having turned 61 years old I have found something that I am clearly horrible at that I plan to get better at. That’s pretty cool for an old guy and the Fender app is making it possible.

This popped up right off the bat...so I guess we’re grading here.

Rewarding but flawed

I’ve been learning for about 2 weeks from the app and I’ve been getting quite annoyed by the videos themselves. They’re unresponsive at time when trying to rewind, pause or to even access the video controls. And that when the video controls are up, the block the chord progressions. It makes it worse that you can’t pause the video without blocking the progressions. I’ve also been having trouble with the app loading up, but none of the content appearing, and only for it to crash when tapping the “levels button.” Other than these specific annoyances the information is remarkably good. You learn with a mixture of slow exercises to then utilize them in songs. All while practicing various other things

Really Works!!

I just started using this app 2 days ago, and I have already learned so much. I love that is sets you on a path based on the type of music you want to play. The instructors are thorough and do an amazing job at teaching what you need to know. At this rate, I’ll be a pro. Can’t wait to learn more. I promise it’s worth the money! You won’t regret it.

Waste

Thought I might actually get something when paying $10 for the app and then met with a subscription blocker that prevents me from using. Nice way to deceive customers. Plenty of free lessons from pros online. Fail for Fender.

Cool but

dave is a guy

You have to pay for it and it’s expensive.

Lessons won’t load

hopper not taken

None of the content has loaded for a week. App is totally useless.

Best decision I’ve made

Love the app, totally worth the cost of membership. The step by step guide has really helped my guitar playing and it’s a lot of fun to do. Finished the blues course in two weeks and repeat the lessons just for extra practice. Thanks Fender!
