Advanced songs needed

BeckSTR7

Most songs claiming to be hard(with three stars) are not hard and seem to be easy versions of the original song or just strumming patterns. I would appreciate if you put more time towards technique that is hard to understand yourself. You do not need to spend 10 minutes explaining how to perform strumming. I understand that this app is targeted towards beginners, but if that’s going to continue I’d have to use other resources to find complex songs. Thank you for consideration.

Not free

Its not free and theres not a choice for it to be free with it even being a downgrade. The one time fee i think is $84 and the other is $15 a month which me being 13 its not fair because theres good reviews then it makes me pay money. I just want a good guitar teaching app thats free and if i want to learn certain songs i can pay for them for like .99 or something like that.

Great Starter Lessons! - AppleTV App, Please!

djcozmik

These are well recorded lessons with a set of good instructors! There are a few awkward points where it seems like lessons might be a little out of sequence, or assumed skill level will jump abruptly during one lesson (looking at you, end of Electric Guitar Level 1), but the concept and the quality is great! (edit: some of the lesson sequencing has changed since this review, so this aspect of my review may be fixed now.) My two suggestions would be: 1) Make more use of on-screen graphics! The could be more on-screen tablature or notation for students to follow along with. 2) Make an AppleTV app for this! My wife and I are learning guitar together through these lessons, and right now we have to use Airplay to get it on our TV. This is always a little awkward and it would be much nice to have a native AppleTV app. Thanks!

Fender - you can so much better than this

Maybe i didnt spend enough time with it, or not patient enough to follow their structure, but i am not impressed. I am still somewhat of a beginner guitar player, so what would have been nice is to yes learn chords and the appropriate songs with those chords so i immediately feel i have progression. Example i chose different songs and each one in the video shows me the chord fingering, if i already learnt C,G, A, Em....i dont need a video on that, yes i can fast forward but it tediuos. What would be nice is to see the guitar tab/ chords and play along, however at best i might get 8bars if i goto full screen you cannot play the video, or rather i just want to play along with the track but you can’t do that. Would be nice if you could filter songs based on Chords and the tutorial goes through the progression or strummimg pattern. Some of the structure of the app is about a few riffs which is ok - but not that usefull. Sorry but not worth the subscription - i was hoping the fender app would complement my JustinGuitar not the case. I am not bashing Fender, i have a Strat and a Mustang Amp and their Tone app which is great- hope this feeback is useful

This is not a free app. Sure it’s free to download. So that’s free, the rest is paid subscription - Apple needs to get off their butt and make these apps advertise themselves as paid apps. Free means free! This is not free.
