EZCast WiFi setup failure.

Got this device to connect to my home network and stream from my cloud. At step 2 in the instruction booklet, where I connect my phone to the dongle via WiFi, it just repeatedly says connection failed, please follow instruction. The device auto connects to the phone after scanning QR code on TV, and I’ve tried “forgetting network” and then reconnecting and entering password. No matter what I do, it won’t proceed to the next step where I connect the dongle to my network WiFi.

I’m hoping that by downloading this app, it will work better. The last one I bought, broke off in my TV port, it didn’t work well beforehand.

Bought iPhone-hdmi adapter from amazon. Pluged into tv says download this app then pair, which makes no since since its wired, u cant continue the pairing because theres nothing to pair too because its wired. So i stoped and just plug into phone. Then u get about 2 swips then it freezes. I dont swip and just click Netflix and it freezes shortly after. Been trying for 6 hours and very frustrated. I dont recommend this item or app.

Dongle doesn’t work alone

I bought the HDMI to lightning cord so that I could connect my iPad to my projector but it said I needed to download this app and connect over Wi-Fi but if my projector was able to do that I wouldn’t need the dongle. My dongle looks different from the one in the video on the app. So I’m not sure how I can update any firmware. It was working when I first got it.

Worked out of the box when new. Just plugged it in. Now it is making you download this app so it can steal all your data or do whatever with access to your iPad. Won’t work at all now even after downloading this spyware app and trying all the functions. Piece of junk and a total waste of money. Use the OEM device instead.

I thought it was supposed to just plug in and work. Why won’t this adapter work? When I plug in to the TV it shows a QR code to your website or app. I downloaded the app followed the steps closely and still will not work for me. What am I doing wrong?

They sell an adapter and hijack the connection forcing you to install their software. Imagine plugging in an HDMI cable and being told you have to download an app.

stuck on blue screen with japanese writing tried all the steps. just pay the money and get the real deal this crap doesn’t even work! worst $14 dollars i ever spent in my life. just terrible. you guys should honestly be ashamed.
