Can’t get app to connect to local WiFi.

There doesn’t seem to be a way to access the remote control or settings to search for local WiFi connection. Makes the app and dongle useless other than for direct mirroring of content from my iPhone.
No device detected

I go to the right corner and there is no device detected. I go to the menu at the left top, and there is no settings to connect to WiFi. Stuck here.
Hotspot

At the beginning it tells you to connect to the SSID, but I don’t see any on my screen. Also, it won’t connect to the hotspot on the app. I can’t update my mirascreen. I’ve seen the tutorial and the person is able to connect to the hotspot but I cannot.
Why does it switch my time

Whenever I plug this in it says it’s 9:41 and the battery shows %100 . Even after going to the website I cannot figure out how to wirelessly connect- and when connected with the wire all my video screens go black.
