Great app

A little buggy with the newest version, but I’d give 5/5 if they showed a pie chart or some insights on how much I spend or make on average per category of my budget. That would help me a lot in choosing how much I should budget for the upcoming month in certain categories

Love it, but I have two issues.

Overall the app works awesome and the interface is really nice and simple. Ill continue using for a while to see how it goes. I really like that I get to choose my own categories and not use a list of predetermined ones like Mint. However there is 2 issues for me that I think Mint is doing better. Issue 1: Not be able to budget/categorize pending transactions. For me this is a huge issue, I like tracking purchases every night and I use my budget often to decide if I should be spending on a certain thing. Therefor, waiting for stuff pending to actually show up can really make things pop up on my list of transactions that I totally forgot about, and make me go over budget. Because not all pending things clear in 2-3 days. I have had lots of things take awhile to actually clear, even weeks. Therefor, Mint is doing much better on this part and I really wish to see them add this in because it may cause me to switch back after a couple months of trying it out. Issue 2: Net budget option by month. Not all of us make the same money every month. For me I have an amount I generally expect but some months I may make more and others less. Moreover, some months i may spend more and others less. I wish there was a simple way of seeing my Actual money in and actual money out total, and then how much did i go over or under my actual, not planned. Currently you can do this by doing some math and putting everything together yourself but thats not why I pay $10. There needs to be and column that says net monthly spending and it subtracts the net income - net spending = X very simple.

This app has changed my financial future!

For years I have been trying different methods of budgeting. I have tried everything from excel spreadsheets to mint.com and nothing has been easy so I have not stuck with anything. Once I got EveryDollar for my wife and I we she. Completely changed the way we have thought about money. All that extra money at the top of our budget now has somewhere to go that is not just wasting it. I love that it is focused on what matters and is truly customized. Super excited for some of these new updates and features. I have been using the app for years, and it is better than ever!

Zero Based Budget Wonder

I tried so many budgeting apps and none compare to EveryDollar.

DISAPPOINTED!!

I was supposed to get a 1 or 2 weeks ?? FREE trial ?? of the premium (I think it was two weeks), and after that it would be charging me $129.99 a year. Well, i was charged right away, got the premium. But I didn’t really find “the premium” useful, so I canceled my subscription on the FIRST day of using it. BUT I still haven’t gotten my money back! Been waiting since March 6th. I like the app, but won’t change my review, until I get my money back!

Try it!

Try it! Great app

Bring back....

mohomie88

I work 3 jobs and one is tipped based so I have a planned amount for my budget but I add in every dollar that I make.... I loved previously that it would show me the amount I needed to get to my planned budget... now that’s gone and the cute circle is there to show progress but I really liked knowing the dollar amount. I know I can do the math myself but since I budget obsessively, it was just nice having it there for me.

Big disappointment

Chris5az

Almost impossible to work with if you are on a 2- week payroll with no set dates. Fix would be so simple . Just let people set their own income period instead of fixed month. It is beyond me why that easy fix isn’t integrated. Do not recommend for anyone not on a 1st / 15th pay schedule which is probably most of Americans.

Unable to save transactions.

eileenlemus

I just spent 30 minutes uploading transactions that didn’t even save. I tried it twice. Can you please fix whatever glitches are causing these errors?
