So close, but ok

First, being able to see a simulation of a circuit I built 30 years ago and see what the problem was made me like this program. Simple op amp circuits are great. That said the board is too small for a 5 stage FET circuit,...no,...wait,...there are no FETs?! Now I can't use the app. I hope the stated ~"ever growing list of components" actually happens some day.

Makes brainstorming ckts easy

Great app. Hard to find a decent analogue discrete component sim and this one has a real time scope. It makes my phone hot though. Be sure to plug up to an outlet or diesel generator as I assume it’s doing math. 10/10 would plug into diesel generator again.

Amazing!

I purchased the membership and it honestly was the best $15 I’ve ever spent! I’ve spent countless hours on this app and the Chrome app. I’ve simulated hundreds of circuits before actually putting them together on a perf board. Sometimes, I don’t even have to breadboard my circuits because the simulation gives me so much information!

Great !

need some improvements for the complex simulation is it slow and laggy. and not enough space. ty.

Missing accessibility component

There is no text-to-speech or dictation option for the written component of this app. This is a huge problem for Dyslexics like myself. I strongly recommend that the developer change this function (lots of engineers are dyslexic)!

So far, the only virtual EC app I’ve seen on iTunes

... and it works very well (provided you know basic electronics - there is very little in explanation of the components in the app). I’ve not worked with hands-on electronics for awhile; however, I’ve recently came across a reboot of an all-in-one electronics kit and have found this app an excellent addition to “see” what’s happening within the kit’s setups. I give the neat-top rating because of rarity of app and implementation. I ask for a potentiometer where upper and lower resistance limits can be adjusted, a center-tap transformer and a possible audio / RF input/output simulation :)

ok

i would buy it if it had a center-tapped transformer. cant make a push-pull amplifier. otherwise, its a nice toy to play with since the components needed are missing. add more...?

Good app for learning and basic simulation

I’ve been using this for a couple of years now, and it works well for visually reinforcing concepts you may have learned in class or while reading tutorials on the web or elsewhere. It saves a lot of trouble of having to breadboard simple circuits just to see the mechanics of how a particular circuit works. Couple of improvements could be made though. Workspace, even in the paid version, is still a tad small. You either have to very carefully plan out where to place things to keep the schematic compact, or you’ll be moving parts in the middle of a design just to make room. There is no way to adjust the y axis on the scope function, so it is constantly rescaling that axis when you make adjustments to a component’s value. Not so much a problem with DC, but trying to observe any kind of waveform you can’t really see how the amplitude of the waveform is changing like you can on an actual scope, except to watch the (rapidly changing) scale on the y axis. There are some quirks that sometimes give erratic results or throw up an error when you try to run them, usually a quick search on the web produces a work around, but just be aware that sometimes even relatively simple circuits can cause the app problems even though you may have a perfectly functioning physical circuit.

Need improvement

I bough the full version of $14.99 dlls, and it says “too many users singed in” and I am the only one that have my account!

Virtual Testing

Mr Goldleaf

This is an excellent application for virtual testing of circuits.
