Elgato's software is beautiful, as usual.

I can’t really add anymore then what’s been said in many other reviews. This is a great app for your Elgato stuff, as well as any other HomeKit enabled accessory you got. The only thing that is missing is having it available as a widget, which would allow you to turn things on/off much faster. Siri isn’t the brightest, especially if you speak another language, a primitive language like Swedish (where I hail from), so quickly getting to the widget screen when the phones locked would be great. A minor niggle for sure though. Thumbs up.

Needs a Wi-fi connection

Connects via Bluetooth only, which means that if you phone is any distance from the unit, it won't update the data. Would be a much better product if it connected to the local wi-fi network.

Little slow. But great.

CLKOREAMG

Needs notification for user set temperature so it can notify me if it passes a certain temperature so I can open my windows etc... Or remind me to turn my AC on etc.... Also, if you own an Apple TV you can find out your temperature as long as Eve is near your Apple TV.

Complete mess since iOS 10. Please fix. ?

Darth Pikachu

Eve Room and Weather pairing lasts one check, and then I have to remove accessories and hard reboot them. Very tiresome... ? *Update: After enabling "2-factor authentication" things appear to be much more reliable sans triggers. Also Siri does not respond to all commands. Thanks ???

Fail

Fails immediately. Can't even add their device into system

Not working in IOS 10.1

EastSideHorns

Got my first Eve outlet. Setup was easy. The Home app then informed me I needed to update the device in the manufacturer's native app. So I did. No problem. But then the switch was unreadable. And looking at its settings in the Eve app, the UI jitters as it repeatedly scrolls through info while trying to find the device. I unplugged the device. It worked first try after re-plugging and then became unresponsive within two minutes. Not a good first impression. Please fix this.

Response time is very slow

J0HNBLAZE

The response time is very slow. Especially for the motion detector to trigger an action. When you walk past the motion detector, it takes forever for a rule to make a light go on. It takes so long it makes you think the motion detector isn't working, but it is. For some reason the activation after that is extremely long, almost to the point of being unacceptable. Even when you tap a button just to turn a light on, it takes a very long time for it to activate. I had a WeMo system and the response time is much faster. Don't know why this one is so slow. (Although WeMo doesn't work with HomeKit). Otherwise, this would be a good system. The app interface is good. I hope they fix the response time of actions.

Much more than I'd expected

Kirk Strauser

I installed the Eve app a year ago when I got Room and Weather sensors for Christmas. I'd expected it to stay a nice, but simple, interface for fetching data from those devices. It's turned into a far more ambitious way to configure and use all of HomeKit. I had never expected that Eve's little app would grow to become my favorite way to automate our home, but here we are. Nice job!

Doesn't work with HomeKit - rooms broken

The Ultimate iCritic

Used to work fine. Now the only room it shows is a default room with no devices. It won't let me add the room where all my devices are or move my devices. No configuration changes, Home works properly, Insteon+ works properly, so it is the Eve update that's broken.
