I’m sorry, but no home kit app out there has time parameters so botched up the way this app does. After an intense lesson on how the mind works a** backwards you begin understand how this app functions rule wise. Instructions are required with this app BUT with apps this typically isn’t available so the group who designed this app failed foremost. Translation: it’s not intuitive. My ultimate hope is that Apple mite invest a little more effort into their home kit app which puts this one out to the pasture for good!! Apple is actually a thoughtful company because all the eve product line is done better by other product designers period. There are a few unique items out elgato produces but a valve that turns a sprinkler on and off at the command of Siri will eventually be surpassed. So if anything you have going for you it is foremost, your app, but when something so small such as a time parameter is overlooked it makes me have extremely little faith in the future of this company in the smart device category. Why do I keep coming back to the eve app you ask? It’s because of all the little possibilities that can happen around a home that other apps tend to not pay attention to like light sensitivity of a room, or humidity level. Even one device triggering another. The idea is there, but the execution is begging for another developer to make it better. This cute crap with the time parameter is a prime example of it. Rip off the home app verbatim if you have to please!!! Here is an example: light A goes on between 3:00pm and 4:00pm when motion B is a trigger. Boom! Done! What is this after 3:00pm and then adding a second parameter for before 4:00pm? After all that, guess what?! The rule doesn’t work at all because it’s so dumb the app doesn’t even understand. Take it seriously and fix it the way I take dishing out $49 usd for a motion sensor that in every way design and execution Phillips Hue does freaking better and for 10 dollars less! Yet I’m an idiot and hope that you people will get with the program. Fix it!

This app is fairly intuitive and well coded but a big mystery as to why my Eve Flare has an option for transition speed but no actual option to make it color cycle. If it could color cycle and or “breathe” as in fade to dim then bright again it would be a lot more compelling a product. I’m not convinced I’m keeping mine due to this limitation.

You just released an update which includes support for iOS 13. Yay. The problem is that there is no setting to enable dark mode support !!!!

It doesn’t group devices like apple home app does. You can create an automation with a condition on a temperature or humidity sensor. If you get a weather station or a homebridge plugin for weather this app even shows the history of measurements!

I have tried and tried but I cannot get Rules to work. I am trying to automate non-Eve equipment. Maybe that is the issue. I would pay for an app that would let readings from one accessory trigger an action on another manufacturers accessory.

Very happy with my Eve Energy. Was initially worried about range with a single router in a larger house but it hasn’t been an issue. After updating to iOS 13 I was getting delayed system status updates for a bit due to the latest Apple TV OS not yet being released. Otherwise it has been very reliable. Do wish I could ask Siri to turn my Eve Energy on for a set time and have it turn off automatically. I use it for a hot water circulation pump and sometimes forget to turn it off.
