When you have several wife networks in your home is hard to connect. I love it savea me lots of time!!!

Whomever designed this deserves to be tarred and feathered

I bought a bog standard Eufy robovac about 3 years ago. Its only extravagance was that it had a remote you could set its schedule with, or command it to work immediately. Worked flawlessly for about 2 years before dying (a house w 2 huskies will make any robovac want to pull its own plug eventually). In dire need of a replacement, I saw Eufy now offered a range of pet hair-focused AND internet-connected vacs. Perfect! I can set it to clean from my phone and it'll handle the dog hair better. Instant buy. I began using the 25c last October. I have had to replace the spinning brushes twice. (It took over a year before I had to replace them on my old dumb one.) The "pet hair friendly" main roller brush clogs literally every time it runs. (The old one only had to be cleaned every 3-4 uses; they both run/ran nightly.) But the best part?? That connectivity! Now, every time Eufyhome updates (which seems to happen A LOT), the app logs you out, removes the robovac from the devices list, and the thing DOESN'T RUN until you log back into the app/realize it hasn't been running, at which point you need to manually add the device back to your account. WHY your account doesn't REMEMBER what you have associated with it is beyond me, but hey, that's Eufyhome for ya. For the record, the old "dumb" robovac could run on a schedule set by a AA battery-powered remote, but these new ones shut down and turn off like my wife when I drink too much. The connectivity ACTIVELY harms the experience. And the PROCESS to add a device? Hoo boy! 1) You have to sign back in. 2) Realize the app remembered literally nothing about you. 3) Manually find and select the device. 4) Set up the device for re-pairing. 4a) This includes making sure your home wifi produces a 2.4ghz signal independently from a modern 5ghz one. If your modem uses modern automatic signal switching for smoother connectivity, these robovacs are unusable in your home. You need to set your home backwards in time and use either a single slower 2.4ghz signal, or you're now a 2 network home. Plain and simple. You'll learn to love this setback with bourbon and time. 5) You then need to make your phone connect to a WiFi signal CREATED AND TRANSMITTED BY YOUR ROBOVAC to connect the app to the phone. Anker never heard of Bluetooth. Your phone will hate you for connecting to a WiFi signal transmitting no data and likely auto-connect you to a real network. This will halt all progress in Eufyhome. 6) After fighting your phone's network priorities, you'll need to sit and keep your phone within a small 2-3 foot radius of the robovac for up to 5 minutes as they chat (probably about how stupid you are for buying a Eufy device). If AT ANY POINT the process fails, the app WON'T TELL YOU until it "completes," at which point it tells you it failed and you need to go back to... [drumroll] Step 3! (Not a joke.) I have gotten it to connect/communicate without issue at Step 6 exactly one time. I've had to do this once every month or so since owning it. Good luck. At this point, it used to make me reset my device's daily schedule. (Because it forgot everything about the device I'd been adding to my account every update.) Since the last software update, it began remembering my device's schedule after I went through the process of re-adding it. One star for progress!

Broken lights

DeKU

This last update killed my smart lights. Now the group doesn’t respond in the app, I could only use lights one at a time. Alexa has also stopped seeing the group or the individual lights.

So far so good

robannvac

First test run with Eufy Robo G30. Setting up was difficult but problem turned out to be unit too far from router for initial pairing. This was covered in very comprehensive troubleshooting video online but could be mentioned right at beginning as it is so critical. Instructions start with positioning charging unit with clear area around it so was a long way from my router, then goes straight to Wi-Fi setup. Operation looks very good as we have a small apartment but it manouvered around everything very well. It’s definitely a keeper!

Eufy X8 Robovac - terrible mapping app

Purplejmb

Eufy engineers please listen. Your mapping app is awful. My new x8 can not map my house. It took 13 times to finally get a map of my house I was exhausted. When I finally got a map to work it worked for a few day then lost the map for some unknown reason. There’s no option to go back and get a previously used map. This is a huge flaw in the programming of this app. I ended up having to remap my house four more times before I got another map to work properly. That map also lasted about two weeks and for some reason when I sent the Robovac out to do a specific room the map got lost and an error message was presented and it returned to the dock.I now have to remap my house for an 18th time which I will not do. I am sending this back in hopes that they can get the app to work because without a functional app this Robovac is completely useless. This is very disappointing because this is a good product that I REALLY wanted to keep but with just a completely terrible app this product is useless!

Love love !!!

App is literal trash. App doesn’t recognize wifi and doesn’t even connect to it. Have tried on tablets, iPhone and Samsung and still no fix. Ended up returning and getting a refund. Please test products before release. I don’t know what the engineers do there but it’s obviously not their job.
