I love the new Epix app. Streaming quality is unrivaled and there are plenty of great new movies available every week. I just watched the first three episodes of Get Shorty, so good, can't wait to see the rest! Ray Romano is hilarious.

The interface is great and worksfine in most cases. However, in some movies or at unpredictable times, it just freezes. Restarting the video or the app doesn't work. I open the same video on Roku or Cromecast and it works just fine. The Apple TV Epix app needs serious troubleshooting.

Please fix this problem. I just add a Epix to my Dish programing to watch the movies trough my Chromecast anytime.
Lacks coverage
On an iPhone 6 (iOS 9.0.2), download playback sometimes doesn't work. I frequently get an error message "Cannot Parse. This data is damaged, incomplete, or incompatible." After a lot of trial and error, I have discovered that this error only happens when I have no wifi and my cellular data connection is weak (1 or 2 bars). When I turn off cellular data altogether, download playback works fine. Epix has foolishly designed the app to require communication with the server when a downloaded asset is played back (when there's a data connection). Defeats the purpose of downloading in the first place! In addition, they play an "Epix" intro clip at the beginning of every asset that is recorded at a much higher volume than the movie/program. It's startling, particularly if you're wearing headphones.

I could never get it to work on Chromcast, it would show up on tv screen but but would never play.

From the start- select your provider- it doesn't work. The app will not accept your selection. Bummer. We like EPIX programming on our Carter Spectrum Cable.
