Manually adding an item to the shopping list adds a duplicate of the item to the list.

Limited number of recipes, but I’ve found Epicurious to be a reliable source for both what and how to cook most anything. I recommend reading the reviews of every recipe to get options, variations for both ingredients and methods. Reviews also might help you make a “go” or “no go” decision! Finally, Epicurious has made it possible for me to drastically reduce my collection of cookbooks!

Love the ease of recipe searching, saving. But if I put something in shopping list on my iPad, it does not refresh on my iPhone, even when both are on WiFi. Also miss the capability to import other recipes so I have one place to keep everything with the value add of searching new recipes.

The Epicurious app is easy to use and the vast database of recipes available is helpful in all kinds of situations. Having my own recipe box allows me to save and reuse dishes that are a hit.

The app still has not been updated for the notch, putting the “print” and “back” links in the top right and left corners respectively where they are obstructed by system elements. Shame, used to be my go to app, now useless.

Managing my own recipes is difficult. Entry is tedious and drop downs are missing common options. Can’t edit my old recipes without re-entering into new (tedious) format.

I made this recipe with only two alterations. First, I reduced the hot sauce... I stared with a few tablespoons and added more to taste. Secondly, I made larger “meatballs” to save time. I ate these for lunch and dinner...they are delicious. Both sauces have other applications. The reduced hot sauce, red sauce would be good on salmon and the white sauce makes a great salad dressing. Will make this many more times and I am not a vegetarian! Does Epicurious have a place to make notes about each recipe? Such an option would eliminate the need to print each recipe.

Epicurious allows you to create a recipe box but once you add all of your recipes, there is no way to easily search for a specific kind of food like fish or dessert or lamb. It would be much better to be able to categorize the recipes you have in your recipe box. I stopped using the app and now use the Epicurious website where you can categorize all of your recipes in what they call Collections.
