Leaving me hanging …

LBWicket

I second, third, fourth, etc. that the app won’t load. Please fix this. Until then, I can only give one star.

App won’t load

Have been using this app for a long time. Suddenly it won’t load, even after deleting it and reinstalling. I sent an email to the address given here, but it bounced back. What’s going on?

Love but issues

I love this app, but lately it won’t load!

12/15 Still won’t load. AND YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS FOR INFORMING YOU DOES NOT WORK! 12/12 See recent reviews by others - app stuck in failed data entry - won’t load mode. Retry option used with same result. Please fix. Thank u

And one more thing...

duxnpux

...if you try and send feedback or a request for help on their Contact Us page, the “submit” button doesn’t work. So sad. I guess it’s not surprising that the article that opens when you click the “App Support” icon was written over four years ago.

Won’t load

Rebibug

Won’t load any content. Tried emailing the apphelp address listed but it bounced back as undeliverable! What’s happening? Update: 12/15/19 app is working again.

Love -but with slight reservations

Have used epicurious for years and rely on it in many ways. My personal challenge: so many options pop up - including recipes for things I wasn’t yet dreaming of cooking - that I get either overwhelmed or distracted or both. Personally I find that now I typically use other methods of searching first. I return for old favorites. The less elaborate former iterations were my preferred style of epicurios - but yet here I am again today! I would love an “efficiency “ track!

Normally LOVE it but recent update so crash!

Have had this app for many, many years. Seems the versions in the last year or two have just gotten buggier, with some freezes and crashes popping up here or there. However, as another reviewer noted, this version does nothing but crash for me anytime I search for a recipe, which is basically the only feature I use the app for. No joke EVERY search I attempt crashes. Have reinstalled the app several times, reached out to customer service... no resolution. Hopefully they can address this in an update. UPDATE: after taking a few iOS updates over the past few months I figured I’d give this app another whirl, fully realizing the version hasn’t updated. Still no dice. This version has been out there for 4+months and it’s unusable. What is going on with the developers here!? Total shame on epicurious. Absolutely atrocious support. Maybe they’re phasing our the app, or doug a complete overhaul? So frustrating as this used to be my favorite go-to, now I rarely use epicurious (even from a browser/my pc). UPDATED AGAIN (12/22/2019): I tried again to download the new version - pretty sure they just need to trash this app and rewrite from the ground up. Horribly, horribly broken still. What a shame. This used to be my favorite recipe app.

So handy, so good, what else do you need?

Love this app. Been an Epicurious fan for many years, long before the app came out. I love the ability to save recipes, make shopping lists, read reviews, and the ingredients/instructions flip back and forth is so easy — you’re not constantly scrolling to look at steps then amounts then steps, etc. I use this app every time I cook. I have so many favorite recipes saved in the app. Also, the videos are great and I like the meal planning ideas. I wish the app allowed me to search multi course meals or sides — sometime you get the side pairing in the recipe but often not. Other times, I’m making a 6 course meal for ten with a theme and I just wish I could search “French feast with fish” or something like that, the way you can online. Only three main challenges: 1) sometimes search queries aren’t accurate unless the search lingo is phrased just right; 2)the recipes haven’t always kept up with modern techniques, like sous vide — I use sous vide all the time, and have to go elsewhere for recipes; 3) you can’t post recipe reviews via mobile app — you have to go online desktop and login...if this could be fixed there’d by 10x reviews.
