Been on-mountain two days already this season but no record of activity on my app, and last year the recording was very inconsistent. The idea is great but it would be better if it worked. Going to skip recording vertical feet this year and just enjoy my time on the mountain.

Not all mountain cameras are updated, can not depend on what is shown to know how conditions actually are.

I like it, great start, would be good if you could get it to work consistently... the resort websites are better for weather and 3rd party apps are consistent for recording stats. This is good for getting branded pictures that you can only share to facebook, but can’t save to your phone...

ZERO technical assistance or customer support. You stay on hold indefinitely, if you’re lucky enough to speak to someone be ready to hear “the IT manager is out today, we’ll look into it and email you” which never happens.

With all the money that Vail makes every year they should hire a new developer or change their CTO - this app gets worse every year that goes by as iPhone progress.

Despite all the negative reviews since I’m a pass holder I decided to give the app a shot. After scanning my pass I went to active the account. The error message indicates that it cannot activate but provides no useful feedback - nothing like email already exists, password too short, password contains invalid characters... just it cannot activate. Okay. Good on you. I’ll keep using Snoww or something else. I sincerely hope Vail improves and maintains this app.

Has potential to be even better. Only records elevation where they scan your pass. It would be nice if it tracked how many days you have led at your limited resorts/info on what resorts you get with your pass and how many buddy/swaf passes you have left. A way to see your friends location and stats would be cool too

I like the blueprint of this app but it’s functionality is not very impressive. Having access to the trail map is great, but every time I would explore the map it would keep recentering on my current location. We also had our picture taken a few times but they never posted to the app. It is fun to see your stats and, though I haven’t tried it yet, the challenges look fun.

This is an app with many potentially great features, such as recording of skiing metrics, and those features dont work. After 3 days of trying it, with either highly sporadic or negligible recording, I went back to ski tracks and no longer use the app. The user interface could use a new ‘mix’ as well.
