The interface doesn't use standard iOS standards like swipe from left to go back, etc. this doesn't feel like a native app implementation. it feels like it was coded using phone gap or just using a web view. Also some articles trigger a never ending stream of ad spam which push you out of the app and to the App Store trying to get you to download apps.

Plain and simple. The fact that I can't share an article without 20 apps showing up in my face from a redirect, is annoying and unacceptable. I may deviate from the whole site itself. What happened? The site and app used to be nice and light, it worked with minimal headache and now, it's not even remotely useable.

Still reading theVerge because of ill-timed updates. I'm happy there's iPhone 5 support now, but it may be too little, too late...

Like so many other users, I found the latest version of the app in the spring of 2017 to be very light on content, poor in the user interface, slow and buggy. I'm using the .com site via Safari now but that's not great either, it's just not as bad as the app.

New layout is a horrific waste of space. You'll have a head line, a thumbnail on the right. And then a block of white space... on an iPad you can only see two headlines per page. Audio on videos doesn't work for me.

What a waste of an app. Used to be great can we waste 1/3 of screen on blank white space. No landscape. To many big pictures. Not worth your time. Too many ads.
