Very inexpensive and well worth individual VPN: a rarity for non-business enterprises. One subscription covers all your computing devices. You must get this app!
Great idea for public WiFi. Too bad it never works...

Perhaps a bit of an exaggeration, but this will constantly mess with your connectivity, with the only cure a reinstall of the VPN profile. There is a reason that's now an option right within the app. And when connecting to public WiFi with an acceptance screen (Starbucks, etc.) it usually blocks the acceptance screen so you can’t get on. Miserable VPN to work with.
Good but missing some features

I’ve been a customer of this service for years and remain a customer because of the bundled pricing with eero. I’ve recently tried another VPN service that promises to allow use of streaming services such as Hulu. My biggest issue with encrypt.me is that I can’t watch Hulu and be protected at the same time. The other service lived up to its promise however the app does not have the ability to whitelist WiFi networks and that’s key. Ultimately this product would be perfect if I could use my streaming services with it.
Frequently disconnects unexpectedly

VPN consistently disconnects after waking up the phone and trying to use the internet. Opening the app will fix the problem, sometimes. Often do not receive notifications because of this issue.

HAVE USED ENCRYPT ME FOR SEVEAL YEARS, AND I HAVE HAD NO PROBNLEMS. I ESPECIALLY LIKE IT’S TRUSTED NETWORKS AND VPN IS NOT NEEDED. JCM

Super easy setup and use. I need some sort of enhanced security without added complicated hassles. Encrypt.me suits my needs perfectly.
Buggy and unreliable

Doesn’t detect the network intermittently, wont connect or isn’t fast. This isn’t a VPN I’ve been able to rely on.
