Great for keeping track of where you spend your money

I have been on the hunt for the perfect financial app to help me with budgeting and goals. My ideal app would be able to link to my accounts, I would be able to easily see the different categories that I am spending money on (food, shopping, bills, etc.) and I would be able to create my own financial goals (for vacations, large purchases, etc.) Empower makes it SUPER easy to see exactly where your money is going to. It makes it easy to change thing from category to category if need be. Empower is easier to use compared to the other financial apps I have used including Mint and Clarity. My one request is to add a way to create personal financial goals. I want to be able to say “I want to save 10,000 in the next 3 years for such and such, where can I save money and how much money do I need to be saving per month in order to make this goal?” If I had that, Empower would be a five star, for sure.

Finally, a free money-organizing and tracking app that’s actually free! I’m a fan. Simple to use, lots of features but not too cluttered, doesn’t make you buy features that should be basic. Nice job on this one, folks!

I love how easy it is to use Empower. I get the alerts I need and I am able to keep up with all my spending. I’ve tried several budgeting apps and this is definitely the best I’ve found.

Empower is great! There are a couple of features that I would like to see them add, but nothing is a deal breaker yet. The one annoying thing is that if a company charges you with the same transaction detail for every purchase you’ll be stuck categorizing transactions from that one company the same way (trying update a single transaction bulk updates all transactions with that company). For example, I go grocery shopping at Target, so for that specific transaction i would prefer to categorize the transaction to ‘groceries.’ I go back to target later and buy an Xbox- I don’t want that counting towards my grocery budget, but I have to decide which category I want all target transactions to live in.
