Nothing is Free

Blngmaster19

Oh - what crap! I have to PAY to use it? Everything should be free, because, you know - I work for free. Don’t you all work for free? $5/month? That’s almost as much as a cup of coffee.

Really like the layout but super buggy

Cory_Wil

Please focus on performance issues, you’ve got the layout just need to fix the bugs now!

Restore in app purchase pain

el-diddy

For anyone looking for the missing restore purchases button and u don’t have emby premiere...I found out that by turning on in app purchases if u have it turned off revealed the button I was looking for. In IOS 12 restrictions its moved under screen time... took me awhile to find that too ?

Won’t even connect to lan server. I am glad I tested this before I invested time on emby. Dlna doesn’t work either. Non functional.

Pretty solid

Works, plays what I want. Mpv install made the app a lot more stable and direct plays almost all of my content. Love it.

Emby Works Well for Me

WaidR

With Microsoft dropping Windows Media Center and the advent of Windows 10, I have been searching for my Media Center replacement for more than two years. I began with Plex, but have abandoned it in favor of Emby as Emby’s interface is more configurable and easier to use. I like Emby’s clean and simple design over Plex’s “never-ending movie poster” theme. Emby works very well for me on iPhone X, Surface and an Intel NUC which is now my primary media room device. There are occasional issues (stream won’t initiate on rare occasions, scrapers could be a bit better, content downloads sometimes don’t kick off) and there are some features that I would like to see implemented (Apple CarPlay client, ability to watch protected content e.g. PlayReady, ability to restart computer from within Emby, etc.) but all-in-all, I’m very pleased with the functionality and, again, the interface. I started as a monthly subscriber, but am changing to lifetime as I believe Emby to be the better choice for the future. I also respect that the apparent lead developer, Luke, is very active in responding to complaints, concerns and requests. Kudos on directly supporting your user base! So in summary, I am not seeing the issues that others complain of and so far find Emby to be a great Media Center replacement. Good enough that it has now become my sole home infotainment solution and, given the developer’s customer care ethic, given me confidence that the product will continue to be meticulously developed in the future.

Works like a charm

JrD1az

Works smoothly and haven’t had any major issues, the only minor issues I’ve had with it is that when i press the home button it switches servers when all i wanted to do was go home of the current server I’m on. And the other trouble i have is that on occasion the play/pause control of lock screen wont work with Emby and pause/play. There issues which i don’t have a problem living with but it would be nice to see them fixed. But other than that it works very nice

Never had to pay until today

Piccthepicc

I used the app yesterday 2/21/19 and I didn’t have to pay. Today it’s saying I have to pay to use the app. I don’t have to pay on any other device I have but my phone. If you’re going to make me pay at least give me the option to download to my device

Awesome Home Media solution

First of all, I have to thank Luke for his timely response to all the issues on forum. I tried Plex and Emby, loved the Emby interface. I love the fact that I can customize my home screen and the 4k content playback is smooth, this app deserves 5 stas. I just purchased the lifetime membership and I wish there were referral bonus because I referred 3 of my friends and they love it too :-) Keep up the great work!!
