On the verge of greatness

JennOzTX

I love the concept of this mattress but it seems like the technology quirks still need to be worked out. The alarm function doesn’t work properly and my readings of out of bed or awake seem to be suspect as well unless I’ve begun sleepwalking for a few hours a night? I love the cooling functionality!

Latest update needs improvement

runlissarun

I thought the older app version worked better, was more user friendly, and easier to make adjustments. I'm not sure if another part of the problem is that my mattress is now a year and a half old, maybe it's not working as well either.

Don’t track even close to accurately

samnottaken

Bed sleeps fine but it doesn’t track your sleep. My time to bed/sleep is up to 3 hours off nightly! Crap for tracking. Happy I didn’t stop using my Fitbit, it actually tracks.

Constantly Priming.

SINCALTREV

This app is constantly priming. I wish there was more detail at to what stage of the prime, or any additional information as to if there is a disruption in the priming.

It’s okay.

A few months in now. Everything is working well for the most part. Things are seeming a little lackluster and like some nuances should have been resolved by now The user interface is quite intuitive and works well for modulating the bed temperature. I endlessly worry every morning if my alarm will go off or not as the alarm remains inconsistent. When you have temperature to help wake you. You will not see the date the alarm is set for. I’ll set an alarm on a given day and when it does not go off the following day it somehow manages to set it for 2 days after I’ve set it. The IFTT and ‘smart home’ uses seem super poor. Why would I want to hit a button on the app to make other automations work. It just seems like wasted tech. I’m quite sure you could have an automation for getting in and out of bed. I mean the bed is able to sense that is it not? ...get out of bed, turn on bathroom lights ...get into bed, fade off bedroom lights. But no. My only choices are for automation are alarm events (which as stated above are inconsistent) or when I press a button to change between day and night modes which does not feel like automation or ‘smart’ at all. I’ve stated these things to customer service and they just seem to pass blame to the user. Stating my alarm is on silent, or my volume is down...the app literally does not make the action. Stats will remain at 3 until some things change.

Had issue, fixed, still evaluating

sandieman

Had issue with it being to close to my headboard that had it not distributing water. Now bed is a bit firm for me (as a side sleeper) but they’ve provided some fixes I’m going to try.

Not allowed to read before bed

cultivatingthegarden

The app as far as I can tell has no option for setting a time you actually want to go to bed—as a result when I read before sleeping for half an hour (a pretty health habit I think) it counts this negatively as part of my “falling asleep” time. Would like to see a feature added to allow me to use this app but also read before bed.

Beds great, app is less than adequate

epgral

For the amount of money paid for this bed and all its functionality the app falls way short of the mark. This app isn’t even close to accurate. For example, I went to bed at 1030 every night this week. Somehow the app didn’t have me as in bed until 430 am this morning. Every night this week and the prior weeks the times never lineup.

More Options to Edit Sleep Tracker

UnwackyJackie

I love this mattress. I have the regular mattress and have been using it for about a year now. I love that I can adjust the temperature to make it warmer (especially in the winter) and that it tracks how well I sleep. There’s a few suggestions i have for the tracking. During the week I work and my schedule is really consistent (bed time and wake up time) so I would love an option for you to set a bedtime schedule/wake up schedule and that’ll be when the app starts/stops tracking. Often I’ll get a bad score since I’ll be hanging in my room on my bed 2-3 hours before bedtime (I live with 4 roommates so sometimes that’s the only place I can go to be alone). I know you can edit it, but I feel like a preset schedule would be a lot cooler. My partner and I sleep on our specific sides of the bed, except when I go to work a few hours before he gets up, and he tends to roll to my side of the bed. So then I have to edit that. Which is where the preset wake up time would be great - so it stops recording after 5:30 when I’m definitely out of bed. Anyways, those issues are slightly inconvenient- but not a dealbreaker. And I’ll definitely recommend Eight products to anyone. Can’t wait to get a guest bedroom so I can upgrade to the pod ?

FANTASTIC mattress for those who love getting stats

macNcheeseable

I love this smart mattress! I love tracking things (workouts, water intake, everything I do every second of the day, etc.) so it is perfect for me. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for updating it to allow for single users to take the whole bed!
