No cloud access....why?

rickydavis1960

Have installed three of these and as long as I'm on wifi they work great, but when I'm away from home or wifi in general and try to use 3G,4g OR LTE I have no access to my accessories as they don't even show up on phone. Why is this? If anyone has answer please post because I am trying to just disregard that option but it would be nice in case you are away from wifi and NEED to access your accessories.

Works as designed - reading skills are a bonus

prairiehare

The device and the app works very well, also in the set-up of two devices. It is necessary to read the documentation, so reading skills are a bonus - I am pretty sure that some of the negative reviews here and on the Android App Store are related to a lack of those skills. As this is about home security it is anyway highly recommended to familiarize not only with the use of the app, but also with the concepts behind and whether you want to take that risk to expose part of your security to outside access. As there is no cloud service as an intermediary I think it is ok - the weak point is the access to your home wifi - this needs to be protected, otherwise anybody within the reach of the Wifi can control the devices with the app or just find out that you are actually fine. This is a limitation of the concept as the device will be probably not smart enough to manage security and to store which phone is legit.

App stuck on instructions; can't complete set up

madge54

I needed to reinstall the app on my new iPhone 7 Plus and after resetting the plug to the default settings, the app got stuck on the instructions page. I can't complete the installation.

Used to be awesome

FireLT54

This app used to be awesome and dependable. But for last few months, after an app update, I can no longer access over cellular network. It still works fine when I am on wifi - either home or away; but no go on cellular. I work out in the field often and depend on things working over cellular. I use T-Mobile. It had been working just perfect over cellular before a few updates ago. Customer service is useless and doesn't speak English.

Plugs disappearing?

I have 4 eco plugs, they all worked great among my 3 smartphones. Now only one phone can see the plugs, and not even all of them! What gives???

I think I see why people are having problems with this.

ECO Plug is difference with others WiFi Plug ,UL & cUL Certified ,WiFi Certified ,FCC Certified。This is safety issue。About Functional,It is a simple Plug your device into power supply with turn on / off ,or pre-set customized security programs from anywhere。 Function is good with lot of timer setting (DST,Holiday security,Random tomer, programmable). The especially future one is :One App can support WiFi plug,WiFi dimmer,WiFi wall mounted switch,WiFi sensor ...It is worth waiting。

Great Product - I Love It

rlcodyjr

The product timers work great. Had a bit of a problem during initial setup of the home router. The app wants the name of the router and not the IP address. Also did not fully understand how to Get to the “other” device in order to program it. I wrote an email to their Customer Service and they answered superbly within a few hours. Their answers were great, which does not happen all the time. (I also appreciate the insight of programming the sunset on - 11 PM off provided by the other reviewer.)

Do not update!

Everyone!!

After update plugs becomes useless. Can’t access them via cellular network. You have to be connected to your WiFi to manage the plugs.

Wish it worked with google

This product is great. Wish it worked with my good home.

Works as advertised but this app is straight from 2009

I’d love an updated app that was less clunky and more pleasing to the eye. Gets the job done though. Oh wait Alexa integration stopped working today, so there’s that.
