Just updated and app crashes instantly. IOS 12.3.1. **Updated 8/7/19**. App is fixed and I received an email from the developer telling me so. App usually works great.

Any little blip in the power and I lose connection to the bridge. Hardware and software are constantly going out. Shame because it has some cool functionality, when it works...

I used to use the app all the time until DTE decided to start charging for the the meter connector. Bills are high enough without being charged for something that supposed to save you money.

Additional features and improved display of usage data in version 3.4 released Sept 3rd, 2019. Improved Energy usage graphs now easier to view than before. Now also shows electrical cost estimates.

Good idea but I can’t usually log in. Seems like every time there’s an update I can’t log in even with a new password. The app and the service is useless. I’m calling to send my bridge back as soon as possible.

What use to be useful and FREE, is no longer. If you want to see your energy usage for the day prior, it use to display it by noon the next day. Now if you want to see it the next day, it’ll cost you $1.99 a month. They now give some lame reason on why it will take 36hrs to display the chart for the day prior on the free version. But what it comes down it, is greed. I pay you enough DTE! Update, now this app is laughable. It’s Sunday and the last day it shows electrical usage data for is Thursday. As for gas, the last update of usage data shown is LAST Sunday. 7 days with no reading. So much for the smart meter upgrades. DTE might as well left the old ones in place.

For real-time use this app works great, within a 24-hour period. But looking at my monthly billing data, only my kWh inflow is reported, not outflow. This causes the estimated usage and cost to be much higher than my actuals, so the app isn’t helpful for budgeting. Monthly statements from DTE appear accurate. Update: I spoke with the DTE Insight support team who confirmed that the energy bridge is not compatible with net metering. That’s a shame, but I understand that this affects only a small percentage of consumers.

I have tried and tried too get this app to work with no success. All I can see is my past usage, not the real time usage. I’ve spent too much time trying to get this to work.

The new features of the app are great. It makes energy management easy and fun! The best part, it’s free and easy to set up.
