Love it

Mrloofer

Does everything you'd expect from a digital clapperboard. Much prefer the sound over the "clap" that's in other apps. Would like to see a shot entry in addition to scene and take. Had problems with the iPhone version, alas does not work as well as the iPad but would only ever use that in a pinch anyway. Of course some daylight outside scenes are a problem but for the most part is pretty good and looks cool.

Excellent

So far I've had no problems with this app :/ It's worked perfectly and had been doing it's job. It may not be perfect but it beats spending $500+ for a real professional slate. Way worth the price and I would recommend this to anyone shooting on a DSLR.

Lots of useless information, Zero options.

Quickly cycles through a ton of information, but doesn't have an option to turn off unused labels. In fact, it has no options menu at all. It'd be mighty handy if the take auto-advanced, especially when it is so hard to trigger on the iPhone. Would not recommend at this point.

Perfect

I needed a cheap way to sync all my audio to video, and this was perfect for it. As a budget indie filmmaker this saved me on multiple occasions.

Great app, but could be more

AuburnsOwnEly

I like this app and it has come in handy on many of my own personal shoots, however I see much more potential in the app to become the ultimate tool for an AC or AD. I think being able to work with apps like shot lister to pull from a digital shot list for the slate information would make inputting the info faster and more efficient, or even including a shot listing tool into the app would help with this. More importantly, I'd like to see the app generate a camera report utilizing all of the info that is inputted into the slate. Every time a shot is slated, the shot information gets inputted into the camera report that can then be edited and sent out after the shoot. Adding camera reports alone could make this a very useful and powerful app for an AC. Adding the ability to create shot lists and generate slate information from the shot list would be very useful for the AD on low budget shoots having to perform the duties of an AC. Otherwise this is a great app for just slating.

Good start, needs more control

T3hb0x0rz

I appreciate all the fields, and I think in some situations they can be handy. But information like lens, focal length, aperture, camera model, and all that jazz gets recorded by the camera as metadata. So it's redundant. There are situations when it comes in handy, but I would appreciate the ability to turn these fields off so I can just get the countdown and SFX for sync sound. For the price, there needs to be more options added to the app. The Macbeth colors are an excellent start. I'd suggest next, add checkboxes to all the data fields so we can choose what actually gets displayed.

I regret buying this...

Waste of $10. No options. Not customizable. Poor layout. I am giving 2 stars because it DOES work, just seems really simplistic to me. I really hope there are some amazing updates on the way because otherwise I'll end up just removing this app.

No good

Wabbit316

Doesn't work on my iphone!

"Where's the beep!?"

JamSchu

I like it, but it doesn't beep on my iPad. Tried messing with audio, volume, silence, etc., but only beeps in my headphones - kinda defeats the purpose. I'll give it a better review if someone from LastShot Apps contacts me with a solution (or a refund).

Ios8!!! I want a refund.
