Updated to the latest version and now it won't open past the setup screen. When I tap the "open slate" button the app crashes. Worthless like this. UPDATE: Working after iOS4 update.

I found out about this app and was thrilled. I downloaded it and decided to use it tonight on a job I am shooting with DSLR camera. I loaded it on my iTouch iPod. Hit - "Open Slate" and it crashed. I now see the others who have had this problem. Not cool. I really was looking forward to using what appeared to be a great app.

All worked fine until the new update. It crashes every time I try to open the slate. Beware if you have a 3G with 1.2!

How about that -- an app extremely well thought out, flexible and feature-packed! This was **exactly** what I was looking for. I literally have hundreds and hundreds of apps, and this is the first time I have been even remotely enticed to write a review. This app deserves it. Thank you, dev team!

I just bought the app and I am running 2nd Gen. IPhone with the latest update which I believe is 3.1.3. The slate continues to run and I cannot write anything on the slate. The slate does not stop at all. The only thing I can change on the slate are the takes, when I unlock it, it allows to change numbers. Scenes, stock and the rest I've mentioned will not work.

I realize this problem has to be a bug but it's existed for as long as I've had the app, which is about 8 days. Until they fix it, this app is garbage to me.

I can't believe how long I waited to buy this, and how great it could have been to have. Some features in more expensive slates (ahem: Bluetooth TCG jamming) would be great, but this app works perfectly for what I need. The biggest change I'd recommend would be a cleaner, custom UI for setting items on the slate. Going from take 1 to take 2 shouldn't take this many clicks. Give us arrows up and down! The less we have to type on set, the better. We can't all have ACs doing the work!

Does what you want it to, but of the three times I've opened this app, it's crashed and booted me to the home screen each time.

It works. Simple enough. It's a digital slate. Kinda wish there was a delay when you hit the start button so you can position it better. It's easy to read on both iPad and iPhone and it certainly impresses my clients. Can't really think of much to improve it except having a logging feature that exports to CVS or XML.
