"Elegant, easy to navigate and sounds brilliant."

"I can't enough express how amazed and happy I am playing this app. Before to write this review I read the manual (you must) and tested every parameter until understand perfectly how every one respond to the final output sound. I have to tell you the presets do not show how powerful this synth can be, you have to tweak by yourself every filter, modifier and fx's. For me the filter is the secret in this app to get a differentiated sound compared to your other synth app's. Filter add a deep texture and resolution to the sound that I forgot lfo's and adsr's.""

"One of the best iPad synthesizers!"

"This sounds better than 99% of iOS synths. Filters are awesome. Modulation options are numerous. Effects are great. Sounds like a Mac plugin, not an iOS synth. Very little out there like this. I have paid hundreds on the Mac for this kind of sound."

"A wonderful synth with it's own unique character to it."

"This app is excellent! Just enough of a twist on the standard synth app to make it worth the investment. Patch creation seems to be the focus, and UI is perfect for flipping back and forth while working out new presets. Cloud support and coming VST integration makes this synth truly a promising venture."

"Huge tone that will cut through any mix Fantastic control options for the musician Rich sounds and a beautiful visual design A developer who cares greatly about his customers and creation (frequent updates) It's alive! Recommended!"

"Easy to lose yourself in sound design. The sound sources, fx, filters and modulations are all laid out to be very easily accessible. The mixer is great for tweaking the balance between the sound sources to fine tune your sound. Can tell some love went in to making this"

"Great, rich, full-sounding sounds! Great job!!!"

"Awesome updates from a developer who truly cares about both their customers and their work. Nice job!"

"It is FAT. The interface is intuitive. It is universal."

"This is really a fine example of a synthesizer whose developers love synthesizers. It is rather difficult to explain, but there is something within not only the interface, but in the nature of the sounds that this thing produces that shows their passion. This synthesizer is a patch designer's tool, not a preset player. Yes, it does come with some nice patches which show off some of its abilities, but when you start to dig in yourself, you can create some really unusual sounds."

"Excellent job guys. The GUI looks great and everything is extremely easy to access and in a logical way. The fact that you can upload your patch to the cloud and carry on working at home is a plus also."

"Nice effects section great delay nice chord section IAA instrument support complete with transport bar and Midi learn. Good stuff."

Very legit. Like it a lot!

It’s remarkable that something like this is available for such a small cost. This is really an outstanding soft synth. The feature set is good and it sounds absolutely fantastic. Very much usable in a full music production, nothing is lacking sonically. I wish it were available as a plug-in instrument for Ableton; although it’s probably possible to integrate it into that workflow too, I guess I just haven’t figured it out yet. Anyway— for the price of a cheap lunch, this little synth is the bomb! Very happy.

Flexible and yet still simple

This app has loads of great sounds internally, and it speaks midi very well. Works perfectly.

MIDI UN-LEARN??
boldstandard

This is still one of my favorite synth apps, after several years of use. But one problem I’ve been having recently— When you are in the “Midi Learn” screen, how do you *remove* an assignment?? For example, if I have the filter cutoff assigned to “SLIDER 1” on my keyboard, but then I change my mind and I want “SLIDER 1” to control LFO1 speed instead, if I click on LFO1 speed and then push “SLIDER 1,” now that slider will be controlling *both* filter cutoff *and* LFO1 speed. Cool that you can do that.. BUT what if I want it to control *only* LFO1 speed and not filter cutoff?? How do I remove the “SLIDER 1” assignment from filter cutoff? I’ve tried long pressing it.. double tapping it.. sliding it. Doesn’t seem to be any way to take it away besides assigning it to a different slider. But what if I don’t want any slider to be controlling it? How do I put it back to its original “N/A” status?? Nothing about it in the manual, nothing on YouTube. Devs please help!!! ? [EDIT— Resolved... Turns out you need to double tap on the thing you want to remove the controller from. I was double tapping on the controller value itself. This should be in the manual though!]

Pricey toy

It’s a phone app. Get AudioKit Synth One, which is free and open source. Then ask yourself why you would ever pay for this one.

RIDICULOUS POWER!!

These sound have incredible depth! Must have APP

Needs Pencil support!
Sketcherazzi

I’m loving all of the Imaginando apps, especially DLYM and DRC - however, the only irritation is that some interface items support the Apple Pencil while others are unresponsive. It breaks my creative concentration when I expect to be able to turn a knob or move a slider and find the Pencil isn’t recognized, and I have to switch to fingertip. Sounds simple I know but it really interrupts the flow. Every other app I use can recognize the Pencil so I’m hoping this is just a minor fix. Thanks!

Grit! Feeling! It’s Alive!
NoUserErrorHere!

So much depth and the feeling of hot circuits which is rare for any softsynth. Explore the presets for evidence of the magic. The more I use DRC the more I love it. Best in class and ridiculously worth it.

I get it now! (UPDATE)
GrahamBablam

Earlier I wrote a review complaining about three “issues,” specifically the advertising pop ups, noise bursts and failing to save AUv3 presets. I just really didn’t understand their business model or realize that this free version is a TRIAL. Imaginando sent me a very polite response to my review that cleared everything up. Now that I know that the free version of this app is designated as a trial, I’m pretty seriously considering buying the full version. It’s a great, beautiful synthesizer and the cloud preset function looks really great. Thanks, Imaginando team!

Notes stick
Floating Door

Notes seem to randomly hold down for no reason. (Reply to dev’s reply) I use it in stand alone and in GarageBand. I have the problem in both scenarios.

Very Cool Analog Synth
Hucklebucks

I love this synth. It sounds great, is very intuitive, and the interface looks ultra cool. It's fun to use and learn about synthesis. Plus it works as an AUv3 audio unit plugin in your favorite iOS DAW. DRC's arpeggiator is great. There's also a truly unique hexagonal chord playing interface with adjustable settings that works great for song writing experimentation. I bought the full version and couldn't be happier.
