Good job filmic

Not what it should be

This was very disappointing to see that there are no controls available, and there’s only two lenses utilized at once. Half the reason I bought this phone (iPhone 11 pro max) was to be able to do what they showed at the keynote and utilize all of my lenses together. I hope this is just the first step and more controls and additional lens capabilities will be added in the future. For now it’s “merh” at best

App does not work on 8Plus. Just be aware.

Won’t save settings

Every time you open the app, you need 5 seconds to set it up again. Really not what you want in 2020

Over promised and under delivered.

The FiLMiC Pro app was debuted at the Apple keynote last September. I will start by saying the filmic pro app has several amazing features. I have no problems with the app itself. Other than time to time, it freezes. But that’s not a big deal. The double-take app is good at what it does. We were given the expectation that we were going to be able to use a multi-cam feature to shoot cinema-style videos. Which is the reason that I bought the app. I wanted to be able to use the multi-cam feature along with my microphone. I was fine paying the steep price to get the app and paying for all the in-app extras. But it has been almost seven months now, and the features debuted are still not available. And the company does not provide very many verbal updates to address this matter at all. I understand the double-take app is meant to try to address the issue. But it is not what was debuted at the Keynote, and not what I paid for. This app does not support using an external microphone either. If I’m correct, several people purchased this app for the same reason. I genuinely feel that this is one of the biggest bate and switch by Apple, and FiLMiC Pro. I have tried to give the app a chance. But I am at the point of literally just filing a dispute with my credit card company. On a good note, the DoubleTake app does work reasonably well without crashing. But then again, I could’ve found several free apps in the App Store that do the same thing without me investing $30-$40.  Apple next time, please verify the companies you debut at your Keynote. FiLMiC Pro it would help if you were more transparent with your customers.

I have both Filmic Pro with the cinematography kit and Double Take. Filmic is just amazing, professional and easy to use!

Great app but...

Really needs ability to save the layout. I want to save having the wide as the main -A and front as B. Having to set this up each time is slow and frustrating.

Novel but NOT PRO

This is great if you were only expecting 2/3 of your lens and 1/4 of your cameras potential. This only shoots in 1080p. Yeah, yeah, because Apple said so. Clearly you two have a working relationship. I hope you can work something out to deliver all 3 cameras in 4K (at least Wide and Tele) in the pro version. Other than that, app works fine. But that’s it. Fine. Cheers.

Awesome Future Coming

Hey developers don’t worry about what the only childs out here are saying. They wanted everything top notch, right now and cheap... not how the world works. As a retired gadget inventor I know what it’s like when you put out a great debut the from that day forward everyone wants the next project to be fine tuned out of the box. I understand from experience that great products start out then need to be built upon, but you also need the public input. I’m sorry that their input selfish, negative and entitled... my generation’s fault, we’re the ones who raised these reviewers. :( Anyhoo, I can see you guys obviously have awesome concepts to offer and Double Take w/ Filmic Pro is great. I see a good future for Filmic as you guys know how to build up a product and grow it into an awesome finished product. It’s going to be fun watching Filmic get better & better!
