I was insanely reluctant to purchase this "old game" for anything over a dollar. But, wow. I remember when doom originally came out on my pos computer and I honestly am amazed that years later the fun is entirely retained, if not better. It's smooth duh it's an old game, but the control scheme honestly works well on my iPad also which is great. Easily worth the money if you're looking to kill time and enjoy a game. Age doesn't matter let a baby play and go to hell!!

Where's Doom 2 that they promised? I've been waiting to use the double barrel shotgun and it seems that the app has been abandoned, since John Carmack has left. The game is still good, also like others have mentioned, bring back Multiplayer.

It's Doom on iPhone which is great but it needs proper Mfi support!. This game is too fast paced to play with touch controls. I'll update my review when the game is optimized for hardcore mobile gaming.

The game itself runs perfectly smooth which isn't a big surprise given the age of the game. My only request to make this game a five start would be to implement wireless controller support as a control scheme. It starts to take me out of the experience using touch controls which is a little bit of a bummer because I never beat this game once upon a time when I had it on the n64 as a kid.
Unplayable on new 9.7" iPad Pro

Doom was one of the very first apps I got for my iPad 2 five years ago. My philosophy is, if it can't play Doom it's not a true computer. Well, Doom is now on my new iPad Pro... and it refuses to work! The furthest you can get is selecting which episode and map, then it goes to black screen (the Doom soundtrack is still playing though). I'd love to give this app 5 stars again but until this is fixed, I can't do that.

Good game the only problem is that every time I get hurt in game my phone vibrates even when my phone is not on vibrate it does this

Until this game has a good update with MFI controller support I won't rate it any higher than 2 stars.
One minor change and this is a 5 star game

I have an iPad Pro with a keyboard. If this game could be played with said keyboard it would be awesome! Please ID add support for this!
