Love this To-Do app!

Am very much enjoying this To-Do app! Love its simplicity. Graphics are very pleasing to the eye, in soothing colors. One thing I hope the developer will add is the ability to choose a custom sound for the audible notifications, as they default to Apple’s tri-tone sound (it would be nice to have a selection of different sounds to choose from, and I can’t find any way in the app or in my iPhone’s settings to change the alert sound) - After I submit this review, I will contact the developer to see if they can add this feature. Update: Developer responded to my inquiry the same day I sent it, indicating that custom sounds are on his list for new features ?

Love this but.....

every time it’s launched, it freezes while it syncs with iCloud. Can this please be fixed?

Great user experience lends itself to repeated use

I'm a productivity junkie (have downloaded and paid for so many to-do list / project management / life organization apps) and this is definitely a new favorite of mine. The only thing I feel is missing (personally) is the ability to share to-dos between other users. My partner and I would love to be able to create to-dos and send them back and forth and maybe have a shared stack somehow. Otherwise, so far, so great! PS UX team thank you for melding great aesthetic design, modern card based UI with actual USABILITY, y'all killed it ◠‿◠

Totally LOVE this app... however

I Love this app, I want to give it 5 stars, but it’s been freezing and crashing while syncing and when choosing a time pretty constantly lately.

Very cool app

I am coming from the world of Things and Omnifocus, looking for an alternative to the long lists of tasks and projects and tags and contexts. I am trying to simplify my daily life and I feel like Doo can help with that. I have the ios app and the Mac app and the card interface is starting to feel more comfortable to me as I use it more. I really seem to he getting more things done than before with those more complex apps because I spend less time fiddling with all of the lists. Michael, the developer responded to some questions and minor issues I was having very quickly and let me know he is working on ways to improve the app. It works fine for me now and I am sure that there will be more work done to streamline the process even more. A good piece of work and I recommend this app if you too are a bit tired of the big complex task apps.

Not worth the money

I have to say...disappointing.

Update: After using Doo for awhile now I have given up trying to force myself to like and use it. I like the innovation of it, I like apps that are different & well thought out. I really wanted to like it more. Doo just misses the mark on functionality for me. My biggest dislike is how the main stack never shows what’s coming up, only what’s due or past due. I don’t like having to switch to a separate screen to see what’s coming at me next, especially if I finish a task early & want to move on to the next one. It would almost be better if everything was in the main stack by due times & dates. If everything for today was in the main stack it would be far more useable. The concept is great. The layout and design are well thought out. Not using the useless native reminders is wonderful, making this a stand alone app. Entry pages are fast to use & well laid out. The disappointments: Priced way too high for what you get. This really is not what I was expecting. There’s no red icon notification for what’s due today, only for the items whose time has come, and gone. Also, if you don’t assign a due date for a ToDo, it doesn’t show on the home icon count. Maybe that that should be a settings option if you want to include undated items. To view a list of today’s items, you have to open the app and tap a button to get to the second page where all your todos are. Todos don’t show up on the main stack page until they are due, and past due, so on the main stack page you are looking at the past. The only way around this is to set a “before” reminder and do some mental math to have them alert at say 6am, then at the actual time. The main card stack would be more useable if everything today was in it. Plus, you are stuck with the off pale lavender (kind of) background color. The drawings at the corner are a fairly nice touch, and show up if using certain emojis or keywords. As much as I like this reminder app, I will only use it for unimportant repeating household type reminders that I can set up as starting at 6am or all day, like “AC Filters change” or “change birds paper”. It’s useless and too time consuming to rely on for work or important items. I can use any number of calendar apps with iOs reminders and have more functionality. As it stands it only helps clear out some clutter in my do lists. The watch app loads and refreshes fast, but again, only immediately due or past due show. Then, there’s two giant circles at the bottom of the screen taking up maybe 1/3 the screen for completed & snooze. The title of the item and any notes are in about the same small size font as the Apple default. And, each item has its own screen, so you have to swipe through everything to review what’s to be done. I won’t be using the watch app at all, being too cumbersome.

Great

Love it

Excellent To Do App

Picture Elegance

Honestly, this app and developer just gets things right. The app is gorgeous, user-friendly and functional for day-to-day use. More importantly, there are no subscription fees! I do not mind support developer; however, forcing someone to be locked into a subscription is just wrong - look at how well that has worked out for cable companies. I have one simple request for the developers of this app. Please permit hyperlinks to redirect to Safari. It’s helpful when someone would like to add contact information or a website to visit as part of a project. Thanks!

Amazing!

I really love this app! One of the best functions I enjoy using is the locations reminders. Always reminding me about things I need to do when I leave or come back. Even was I pass certain location. Only thing that is missing is it’s connection with Siri.
