Don't update

Milkcartonrad

Update breaks the app.

Fix the update please

Med Matt

Latest update completely shut down this app. Need to get it fixed soon - it is the only way some nurses are able to get ahold of me about patient issues.

So great!

I love this app and use it constantly in the emergency department. I initially had problems after the iOS upgrade, but deleted the app, reinstalled, and it is working perfectly

I do not recommend

This lame app is a great start to what could be a dynamic app if the developers were to spend some time adding useful features and eliminating bugs. The most bothersome bug is that it's very slow to respond after sending a message, if someone replies while you are still on the screen you sent the message from you have to exit the app and restart it for the message to appear. It doesn't seem very "real time" when the responses are so delayed. Multiple times daily I get the EXTREMELY LOUD notification that I have a message, open the app, and no new message. Exit the app by swiping it away, reopen and it's there. The extremely loud alert is ridiculous, there's not a way to turn down the DocHalo alert sound, choose another that is too quiet and you have to crank up the volume on your phone to hear it which of course makes everything else on your phone EXTREMELY LOUD. Too often patient's tell me "It sounds like you are getting an important message". I don't want my patient to hear the alert and think the message is more important than the time I am with them. You can't save a group, each time you want to send a message to the same group of people you have to add them individually. Once you make a group message and send just one message you cannot add another person to the group (Hey, maybe you should include Jane in this message - Nope, you have to start all over). You cannot search the messages so you have to scroll through all of them to find what you need, if you have multiple messages from the same person or the same group you have to open each message to find the one you are looking for. Adding photos or documents stored on your phone is cumbersome, you have to choose one photo/file at a time, send it, wait for it to send, go through the whole process of finding another, choose it, etc. The Apple Watch version is a joke, it does nothing more than show you that there's a message, you cannot read them on your watch. Every one of these issues, that could be features, are standard on iMessage and other messaging apps; why not on the one we are paying for? Developers: please read and respond to the issues your customers are laying out for you, this app is very limiting and frustrating. I think if you could only message with your dev team using this app you would change things very quickly. I would NOT recommend this app.

The Best Choice

Jelbeery

After testing several HIPAA compliant texting apps, this one is by far the best. Stable, no bugs, does everything it's supposed to.

Halo review

I use this application daily and I find it helpful and a timesaver as I can avoid going through our call center and contact a physician directly. I've also routed all my pages through the program so I no longer have to wear a pager. Well worth trying.
