Better but still needs refinement

New version is better. Layout is good, finding your sketches is a lot better. Previous versions you could name your sketches, now that seems to be gone. It needs to come back. You can't always tell what sketch you are looking for by the thumbnail alone. Along with that my sketches that I did have named are now renamed "sketch" so I've lost that info on existing sketches. I would like the ability to import PDFs drawings. This would be the most useful tool when going out to measure and there is already a plan available. It would be nice to sketch lines that are not measurement lines. Some sketches need to be just that, a sketch, not needing every line to have a measurement attached. It can be done now, just not assigning a measurement, but the lines are harder to differentiate. The text tool could use some improvement it is a little basic.
Constantly crashes. Can't change units

If the app would stop crashing maybe it would get a better rating. Maybe not. Can't select unit type; fixed to metric only for manually entering and actually converts measurements taken in SAE to metric in the measurement details. Poor outing. Very weak as the app was the main driver of buying a so-called Smart Disto.
Sketches disappear

Basic functionality is good. Peering did work for IPad Pro and iPad (2012), IPhone 5s through barcode scan. iPad from 2011 crashes during barcode scan and Bluetooth peering didn't work. Moving the measurements to the lines you have to 'move' the number. Don't expect to select it and then move your finger. Worst thing, my sketches just disappeared for the second time. Used the device yesterday for the first time and when my measures were gone this morning I thought maybe my fault. But it just happened again. 10minutes ago they were in the app, looked again now and only 1 measure of the 100s I took is left! I just lost a days work AGAIN! Have to return my Disto and get a Bosch unless this gets fixed or someone explains to me why this happens.

With my device(Leica Disto E7500i) this app is useless. It does not accept any of the indirect measurements. It will only send the measurements taken at each click - no calculated measurements which is why you would want one of these devices. Not much better than a digital tape measure.
It works great BUT...

I'm extremely aggravated by this app. When it was updated it erased all my stored projects, and all of them were for projects all over the continent which I will not be able to obtain again unless I travel! So beware, store your pictures and data out of it if you don't want to be in the impossible position I'm now.
Fatally flawed

I was initially impressed with the D2 unit and its Bluetooth capabilities. It paired easily with my iPhone 6 and I found the app intuitive and easy to use. Trouble came when i reopened the app and dozens of files with measurements taken the previous day were suddenly missing. The risk of loss of data renders the Bluetooth function of the device absolutely useless. It's not just the files that are lost, it's the time and work that is wasted and will now have to be redone. To use the app while simultaneously creating a hard copy defeats the whole purpose of this technology and is more time consuming than just doing it manually in the first place. This app could be an extremely useful time saver but as is, its a crap shoot. Needs a major fix.

Can't pair my DISTO as Leica didn't make it with current technology. Used it by manually entering data and get home to find that the app decided to delete all my measurements. Absolute piece of garbage.

I experienced data loss too. It is really frustrating to go through the process, adding all the dimensions to a sketch or photo only to have them disappear when you look back at the sketch. Sending the sketch by eMail as soon as you have all the dimensions on it will give you a record, but looking at a sketch with no data really hurts. I fly half way across the country to do site surveys for my company. Losing data is not an option. If this were reliable, it would be an important tool in my kit. As it is, I still use the app, but I really worry.

Disto? Dis-don't!! From the Swiss makers of fine high precision instruments and optics, probably one of the worst apps ever! Let me explain: it has lots of nice features and capabilities, interfaces with your Leica Disto measuring device (bluetooth capable ones for more $$) so you can apply dimensions on the fly to sketches or photos, etc. Very convenient , until after 2 days of collecting data, that data disappears right before your eyes as you are using it to generate your drawings! Yes-that data that your job depends on? That can't be replaced because the owners are out of the country and you no longer have access to the property, but you promised the client quick results due to your newly purchased technology? This app should get negative stars due the the high level of quality typically offerred by the manufacturer and its inherent career killing capabilities.
