The Beat Idea Ever

The app was amazing at helping us stay in the know in what was going on. Loved it.

Text receipt inconsistent

Texting via the app was extremely inconsistent and unreliable. If the app can be perfected, it would make a great tool for communication. Otherwise, easy to use for schedules and for what was going on on the ship the entire trip.

Left a little disappointed

Cloulollie

This was our very first Disney Cruise so our expectations were very high. So having said that, Let me start by saying overall we did enjoy the cruise. BUT there were a couple things we were disappointed with. The main thing was our dining and wait staff experience. It left a little bit of a bad taste in our mouth. (Literally). While the food was not as good as I hoped, the main problem was with the wait staff and their service. Our wait staff were just not up to par compared to our two other cruise experiences with Carnival. Of course our expectations were high since it was Disney, but still it left a lot to be desired. They were not as attentive and “fun” as the other wait staff at the tables around us was. That was the first thing we noticed. They were just OK. I was left wondering if Arjay Maglague Guevara who was our head waiter was not feeling well the whole time, because he was not as “fun” as cruise head waiters are supposed to be and on the 5th night of our cruise we got a “sub” named, I believe it was Claudius from the PALO Resturant. He was AMAZING! So fun so attentive and so helpful with the menu. We had the BEST night by far on that evening in the Tiana Resturant, second seating. The next night which was our last night, Arjay our head waiter was still sick. We had another “sub” and I believe his name was Paul from Poland, who was not very good at all. I believe he also normally works in the PALO restaurant. In fact when I placed my order he made a not so acceptable order of comment to me. He said “you know that’s a lot of food”? Without even a smile to which I said yes I know ? . This really offended me and left me upset for the rest of our meal. This was our last dinner night and all week I ordered two entrees so that I would be sure and get one that I loved. Also I was supposed to get to experience food that I was not used to. I thought that this was the normal cruise dinner experience, to order whatever I want. He made me feel bad for ordering two entrees. That is unacceptable. He seemed like he may have not wanted to be there which was not a good experience for my family at all but it was also not our fault that he had to be there. So needless to say our dinner experience all week left a lot to be desired. This was extremely disappointing since in my opinion your dinner experience is supposed to rank right up there in the most important things on a cruise. My husband and I, before this Disney Cruise, have only ever been on two cruises in our lifetime, which was a 7 day cruise on Carnival cruise line out of New Orleans and a 4 day cruise on Carnival out of New Orleans. BOTH cost us A LOT less than we paid for the “Disney” experience. And BOTH were excellent experiences, from the dinner experience to the shows to the “at sea” day fun, all the way to the excellent stateroom care. We expected A LOT more from Disney. We could have saved A LOT of money if we would have chosen Carnival this cruise vs Disney Cruise, if we would have known we were not in for a better experience with Disney. Now, let me just say that the rest of the staff was top notch. There was not a staff member that we would pass throughout the ship that did not have a smile on their face and would acknowledge us as we passed them with a happy hello and a comment on if we were enjoying ourselves. Also the shows in the Disney theatre were just so beautifully done and SUCH a joy to watch. They were excellent!! Also I would like to point out that one of your crew members that hosted a lot of the game shows in the crown and fin pub and Azure, I believe his name was Deano from Ireland, was SO GREAT! He made everything so fun in the adult lounges. He deserves a pat on the back for how fun he made those moments! He was our favorite host!!! Also our stateroom attendant was EXCELLENT! Her name is Anissa Simone Spence. She is awesome! Our room was VERY well kept and ALWAYS clean. She made our VERY small inside stateroom very comfortable. She deserves acknowledgement. There is literally nothing negative to say about her or our stateroom needs. They were ALL met and she went above and beyond! WE LOVED HER! Thank you Cynthia and Joseph Graff Stateroom 7035 Table 43 second seating Disney Cruise dates 2/21/10-2-27/20 out of New Orleans Louisiana.

Well worth the price of a ticket for a lifetime of memories.

If you love Disney then you will love the cruise. It is well worth the money for those who enjoy Disney and Disney people. I have never seen so many people working so hard to make everything right according to Our requirements. The smiling faces from the children was value enough, then there were the Broadway productions that will live forever in the children’s minds and hearts from Peter Pan and Tinker Bell’s flight to Frozen and the amazing technical support that puts you right with the characters as the show warms your heart. Ahhhh! What a long sentence but there is so much to say. Enjoy!

Not reliable

Robin megatech

The messaging is not reliable therefore I still have to go personally to talk. Wish was more stable The cruise phones are bad as well like piece of junk. They make noises at night while in. Charge and during the day they work bad This happens since years as I cruise 3 to 4 times a year

Great cruise, so-so App

Monmagmom

On our first Disney Cruise (Dream), I was looking forward to conscience of the Disney app. However, it was not as easy to navigate or as quick as the paper schedule available at Guest Services. In addition, the Connect at Sea was the greatest waste of money on this trip. The service was terrible!! I was able to squeak out a minute or two, 3 times a day. Network error or serve down or something. Similar occurred constantly. And no, I was not the only one. At a table of 8, our table mates expressed frustration too. It wasn’t enough to keep me from cruising again, but I will definitely just “go off the grid” next time...spend enough $ with Mickey, but hate being taken advantage of!

It was an amazing vacation!!! We loved it.

Great service

Mrs. Doddy

We had a wonderful time and made a lot of great memories. Loved the dining experience, our servers was excellent. The food was ok, I understand the crew is cooking for the masses. Great room service! Our room was clean and the gentleman who did the house keeping was friendly. Natasha and David was amazing!! Great personalities. We had so much fun playing “So you think you know your family.” So glad we did this as a late Christmas gift for our girls.

Still Needs Work

Love joy 2

I’ve had the app since the days of the old fashioned suitcase which displayed the number of days left before the cruise. I’ve also been on 5 cruises (Iceland, Alaska, etc.) so I’m not a novice. The ultimate goal is to get rid of the daily paper navigator, which is an admirable goal. Here’s what needs work: still having to go in person to sign up for brunches, tastings, etc. Each time I’ve had to sign up in person, because the app shows no availability only to discover there was lots of slots still to be had. Palo was deserted and we had six people in our bourbon tasting. When the cruise is short, this time trying to book is burning my vacation time. Secondly, the ribbon that shows “Daily activities, character greetings, etc,” does not have a left swipe arrow to indicate that banner moves. I talked to others who didn’t realize this as well. The WiFi signup should coincide with the final setting up the app on board. There should be a prompt that indicates this as a next step. Don’t send me a long sheet of paper about the WiFi when the app could automatically do this and start the clock on the 50 mg of WiFi. Also, get the app to do little drop downs asking you to sign up for your placeholder on the app. Several new folks thought they had to go to the desk to do this. Keep working on this. I have faith in the design group! Put me in the testing group!
