Update the app already

This app needs updated to not only work with the X but better with the plus phones as well. The app also needs more user friendly updates as well so that the video does not stop upon small interruptions like notifications.
Plan double time to watch a show

This is the most frustrating app ever. It’s constantly skipping and buffering and causes me to miss most of the show I’m trying to watch. It also often looses connection causing me to completely close the app and restart it several times before I can resume my show. Have never used a streaming app that’s so horrible. Updated response to developer- my internet is not the issue. I have the recommended settings and everything else I use for streaming works just fine. Also, everyone I know that uses the app has the same issues. The issue is not our connection it’s the inadequate app.
Lacks basic features

Haven’t tried video playback for the iPhone X yet. The dvr capabilities for the app are weak. Please mirror what the hopper can do in the app. I can’t pick folders for shows. There is no list to view the schedule. Instead you opted for big pictures of the shows. It is less helpful than you think.

This app is ok on its good days, but now I can’t even open it. It shows the Dish Anywhere front, then blacks out and crashes. Can you guys ever get this app functioning to full capacity? Kind of defeats the whole “what your recordings from your mobile device” part of your ads, doesn’t it?

In a perfect coincidence, I was just using the dish app and was feeling beyond exasperated, when the opportunity to rate this app popped up on the screen. I would like to give it no stars but that doesn’t seem to be an option. The option to jump ahead or back by moving the progress bar while watching a show has never worked well so I reluctantly use the 15 seconds forward or rewind buttons with just a little more success. Just now I hit the pause button. When I hit play, the audio came back but not the video. I restarted the show and selected resume. Of course now I was much further ahead in the program and had to press the rewind, which made the video disappear again. I only use this app for one program that I can only record and watch. It’s not available online. All other shows I use other online viewing options. I’ve had this app for two years on ios and android and have had consistently bad results.

We switched to Dish because we believed they had great technology. We were wrong! This app barely works. I tried it on multiple devices both on WiFi and Data. Throughout the show, it pauses automatically then starts at a different point in the show. Sometimes when you exit an episode, it does not save the spot where you are at. You have to start from the beginning and retract your spot even though you hit resume from previous point. On top of that, sometimes our shows do not record even though we set a timer. We would switch back to Comcast if we didn’t have a contract with Dish. My advice is don’t get Dish. They used to be ahead of the game but now competitors are better.
