New app mint improvement

The new iPad app makes it very difficult and sometimes impossible to watch live tv. The old version had the option on the main screen The skip forward buttons are so close to the close Button it very easy to close Out program. Many recoded programs do not show up on app for hours and hours. Really waiting for An update to improve. I had on device that had the old app. It was great. In a non focused moment I hit update all. Now I have a dish app that buffers , stops every few minutes , the r just freezes. Please please give up on thus app and give us the old one. I sorted the reviews by most recent. All on star reviews because of this app.

This app is basically worthless. Even the pre-recorded DVR programs freeze constantly to buffer! And forget about the live tv programs which I’ve learned aren’t even worth attempting to watch, sadly. When I had Comcast, their app worked flawlessly. I wish Dish could figure out how to do the same because they are otherwise a good company that I have been satisfied with. But the app is a mess...

The guide come up and when you click on a channel nothing happens!!!!

This app is ALWAYS inconsistent. Always crashing not loading ever since they change the design. The old version was more reliable. Feel like they got too cute and now can’t workout the bugs. Bring back the old version until you got consistency out of the new one.
Remote access doesn’t work great

I upgraded to 200 Mbs service at DVR (which provides 10+ Mbs upload speed) and have 25 Mbs download at remote viewing location but the streaming quality is poor; stream freezes, audio drops out. As a result video quality is barely viewable. Dish hasn’t really been any help in trying to solve the issue.
Revamp is STILL terrible 7 months later

The old Dish Anywhere app was fantastic! I never had a problem with it, the interface was intuitive and the picture was as good as when watching my tv. This ‘new’ app (it’s not really new anymore) is ridiculous. Anytime I want to use it there are problems— missing recordings, low-quality video or programming that won’t load at all—that I often simply give up trying. I just spent 38 minutes on the phone with Dish because I couldn’t play any recordings (black screen with pause bars in the middle). We solved that issue (yippee?) but the picture is still awful (barely SD and skipping) even though I am three feet from my modem. I have no idea why Dish had to redesign/engineer the Anywhere app (to crack down on theft?). But for paying Dish customers this is a TOTAL step down from the previous version. And the few times I’ve called for technical help I hear, “We’re working on it”. Great. When’s it going to be done?!?! Because I’m fed up paying for Dish Anywhere and never being able to use it. Finally, the customer service rep I spoke to was an arrogant jerk who would not listen to me, talked over me and, as a result, the call probably took longer than it needed to. Here’s a news flash—when the customer calls and is explaining the problem it’s usually a good idea to LISTEN as that will speed up the process of solving the issue.

Not sure why there is 2 apps when both don’t work for the tv and why neither app will work the tv like it used to

I watch TV on my iPad at night and can’t watch more than 5 minutes before the screen freezes up. Sometimes it will start again or it just throws you out and says reconnect. I’ve had service here twice I have new iPad, strong WiFi signal everything checks out fine. It’s just the streaming from the hopper box stinks. They did an update about 8 months ago and that made it worse. At least before the update it still hung up but not every 5 minutes. Get it together Dish with all the technology out there this system is pathetic
Latest update ruined the app for iPhone

In the latest update the: record / rec. options / info ... options is hidden when a program is selected on guide on iPhones, but it’s visible on the iPads in landscape. On IPhone the app is always vertical and doesn’t rotate to landscape

I have been with Dish for Years! It used to be really good! Dish Anywhere worked great until several months ago! Now it NEVER works! Also DVR’s no longer function reliably! Service used to also be great until the shipped the tech support offshore! Hardly anyone speaks understandable English! Sad!
