App has been down for over 2 months

Dont download this app, as it actually serves no purpose as of this time.I haven't been able to log in since September, saying that they're upgrading their system and will be back mid November. It is now December 28th, and im certain this wont be solved before the new year. This is my 3rd time writing a 1 star review, each and every time for a different, completely unacceptable reason for a major electrical provider that is essentially mandatory for the area I live in. All I want to do is pay my bill with the app, but it makes me jump thru 100 hoops before Im even able to view my account page. Garbage app, garbage company.

This app hasn’t worked for months. I have deleted and reinstalled to no avail. You are presented with a splash screen that states “We’re sorry for the inconvenience. We are upgrading our systems to better serve your needs. Our new mobile app will be available in mid-November. In the meantime, you can manage your account via our Online Account Manager” and links you to their website. The app was “updated” a month or so ago but the only update was the ETA - it changed from October to Mid-November. This is ridiculous.


Review about the app not the service

Please bring the app back. Every time I load it says the app will be back mid November. It kills me that so many people left a review about their service with Direct Energy rather than about the app itself. Has really thrown the balance for the rating, I feel. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The app is slower than old 56k modem speeds. The itemized usage feature does not work. I’ve filled and saved so many times but it adjusts back to its own numbers every time. When checking the usage calendar it always starts two to three months back so I have to skip to the current month and wait, it is sooooooo slow! I can check my usage, view my bill, and make a payment with Reliant’s app faster than I can do any one of those things with Direct. The interface is ancient and difficult to comprehend. There is a lack of information when viewing usage. Overall, the app gets a poor review. Reliant energy has a much more reliable and user friendly app.

App is still not available even though it says mid November and it’s January now. I signed up for a service with an app for bill pay and bill review and now I’m not getting what I signed up for. Worst part is no one has an answer to when the app will be ready not even the person that will response to this. Give us a timeline and get it right SINCERELY THE PEOPLE THAT PAY YALLS BILLS AND KEEP YALL IN BUSINESS. I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL MY CONTRACT IS UP SO I CAN GET RID OF THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY

I was encouraged to download the mobile app, and the only information I get is: We are sorry for the inconvenience…our new mobile app will be available mid-November. Well, here it is mid January 2022 and no mobile app? And the iPay wallet app is non-responsive. I click to pay and it takes me to the non-working mobile app. What gives???

To start off, when selecting a plan they were really pushing me to take the green energy deal which they said was their best and would cost me$40-$60 monthly for my apartment. I decided to go with it because it did seem like good pricing until after my first payment I found out the delivery fee alone was $80. On top of that, they made two accounts and I only had one account where none of the information would go. It just kept saying $0 owed which was really weird. Took forever to get my right account then what do you know, the app doesn’t work anymore and they said there would be a new app in November. There is NO new app. There is also no reason that my bill for January is double what it typically is. I would not recommend this to anybody.

App Doesn’t Exist

When you open the app, it says it can’t be used and a new app is coming out mid-November. If you scroll down on the reviews, others complained about this in December and customer support said they’d have it out in December. It’s now January and the app still isn’t out. Don’t download the app, it’s literally just one screen that says “use your web browser”
