Even with the flaws this game is so fun

I used to love this game. I thought it would be fun to download and play it again, and to my dismay, it has gone the way of so many other games with making levels impossible to beat without spending money, and the HORRIBLE wait time for lives/energy that every game seems to have adopted these days. The interface is extremely complicated and overwhelming with too many options. Looks like one of those horribly confusing slot machines at casinos. I played this for 30 min until level 13, which was impossible to beat without spending money (although I couldn’t even figure out what I had to buy to beat it)—and gave up. Game deleted. I miss the simpler times of Diner Dash when it was actually fun to play, and an “escape” for me. Playing this was like extending my stressful and unrewarding workday into my evening. I would gladly pay $10 just to own the original version on my phone. Our beloved DD is officially gone :-(

I turned off all sounds and music but it still makes lots of noises! Shouldn’t have to mute phone when sounds are turned off within the game!

Redownloaded the game for nostalgia purposes only to find out the game format has been changed. You have only 3 power, which I’m fine with since it forces me to put down my phone sometimes, however is extremely annoying and difficult when dealing with harder levels. In addition, purchasing boosts is only with cash, not coins, making the game almost impossible if you don’t spend that money. Even if you did get the boosts, it is still extremely hard and sometimes even unbeatable. I would rate this game lower than a 1 star if I could. This was not the diner dash I loved so much back then.

I liked the older diner dash games like wedding dash and hotel dash and the original diner dash games! PLEASE UPDATE THEM TO IOS!!!!!

This game can be enjoyable , however, there are several things that need to be fixed in order for it to be more enjoyable. There was another review that I had seen that hit the nail on the head. This game can certainly be stressful, I enjoy challenges, but this game is so hard at some points that I have oftentimes thought about deleting the app and looking for something else to play. I dislike the fact that it gets so stressful that I can feel how the stress is affecting me and a game should not affect a person in such a manner. I also recommend that the creators of this game allow more items to be purchased with the coins earned or make it easier to earn more dinero to have to make purchases that require dinero. Hopefully this review will be seen and something will be done to improve the game.

This game used to be so fun! The app developers must have thought changes were necessary so they could make money off of suckers that don’t want to wait for their energy points to refill. Don’t fall for it. I’m deleting the app.

Game is fun but...

You play games to be stress free and have fun. But some of these levels are ridiculously hard that you can’t go 30 seconds into the game without losing. The dudes with the crates are annoying and some characters come in mad and if you wait 5 seconds they’ll leave and you’ll lose the level. Yes there should be a challenge but if you don’t spend the 9 dinero on the speedy shoes every level, you’re going to lose. It’s crazy. I’ve had the game for a copious amount of time and am only on level 53. I’m on the verge of deleting this app because I’m not spending money to win a level in a game. I’ll just download another game... period.

Totally agree with other reviewers- if you like Diner Dash do not play this, it will ruin the game for you. The game itself is good, traditional diner dash with some cute interesting twists (I’m a waitress and the guy who chats to you while you’re rushing to serve others makes me laugh) but it does NOT work as an idle/microtransactions game. Unless you want to put in much more money than you could buy all the original games for it will not be enjoyable. It takes one energy (and one minute) to play a round and 30 minutes to recharge your energy, so basically you can only play one minute every half hour, whether you win or lose. I don’t understand how the developers think that could be fun for anyone. You can buy three minutes of play time for $1 (seriously! 3 rounds = 3 minutes) that’s 20 bucks an hour, you can buy the real game for a quarter of that and play for years. Gameplay itself is not good and you will lose a lot of rounds from touch/click not registering properly. I’ve bought energy a few times, every single time it went to watching my restaurant fall to bits as I was unable to click the podium or anyone standing on line. As others have mentioned, at times it insanely hard to the point of not being any fun. If you do have the patience to get somewhere you will earn lots and lots of gold that you can do almost nothing with - every item in the shop costs in-game (buyable) currency. The offer to watch an ad for game cash always says none are available then makes you watch an ad anyway without reward. I could go on but you get the idea! Save yourself time, money and frustration and go play the original series.
