Great little app

danrbrooks

perfect for what it is designed to do. doesn't need it's own alarms. could maybe do with a preference that overrides the system brightness as well as I find that it works best with both it's own and the system brightness set at their lowest levels.

What the heck!

Appman3000

Don't download this app for 3 reasons 1 apple gave you a clock 2 it's stupid 3 I can't change that crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great!

You try reading without glasses on in the middle of the night. It does what it says.

Does what it needs to do, and well

I used this as my travel clock on a recent trip and it worked perfectly... landscape or portrait mode, no problem. Normal iPhone alarms work with it just fine, so there's no need to add that functionality to this app. Also, the ability to "never sleep" while the app is running is perfect, since you are likely only ever going to use this when it is docked. Seriously, $1 very well spent. Sometimes the simple apps are the best ones. I think the only drawback is that the iPhone's "black" screen isn't perfectly black in a dark room, but that's par for the course.

Works very well!

Yes, it works, and it is also useful for me, since I have to get up when it is still dark, and this was like buying a digital clock for $1.00. But, as I look at your examples, they do not show one little minor flaw: When the time is between 1 o'clock and 9:59, the single digit hour causes the time to look left justified, or out of center. It would sure look better if you centered the time when the hour is only a single digit. As an idea for addition functionality, I would love to see either a calendar or at least todays date when the phone is upright, or in the "portrait" position. It just looks a little vacuous with such small numbers.

Great start but needs some minor improvements.

I really like the idea of having the full screen digital clock because I use my iPhone as my alarm every morning. Trouble is, even though there is a setting for digit brightness, it does not affect the brightness of the actual backlight, so even the "black" part of the screen puts off a lot of light in a dark room... too bright to have on my nightstand at night. Add some backlight control, perhaps some subtle animations like fading colors or numbers that very slightly move or flicker (think "24" title screen) and it'll be a 5 star app :)

Nice application

i like this application and I use it for a clock next to my bed at night. The reason I gave it 4 stars is I have to turn the screen brightness all the way down and turn off auto adjust brightness otherwise it is very bright at night. The background is still somewhat glowing. Otherwise it is a very nice application. I put the phone in the charging stand and then turn the phone on its side.

Simple but great

This is a simple app but great to have works fine no problems so far an alarm clock would be nice but for now this is a great app to have for free.

HATERS BEWARE!!!

It's harsh but it's true...you can't fix stupid. TO ALL THE IDIOTS WHO KEEP SAYING "Your I-phone already has a clock"....your right ...but unless you want to squint to see the extra small time at top, it's not big enough to see from farther than 3 feet (less when your sleepy). ********************************** SO LETS SAY IT FOR ALL THE DULLARDS....THIS APP IS JUST LIKE HAVING A BEDROOM/NIGHTSTAND CLOCK. IT ALLOWS YOU TO SEE IT AT NIGHT WITHOUT HAVING TO TURN ON YOUR PHONE TO SEE WHAT TIME IT IS...DUHHHH

OK clock app

To make it even better, developer should focus on positioning clock properly on the display (times like 8:30, etc. are hopelessly off center, no consideration for different position of numerals between 12/24 hr formats) and adding an option for day, week and year. --- Latest version has an 'improved' icon with oversized, disproportionate digits, while none of the centering, etc. issues were addressed. Removed from my iPhone... : (
