Great stories, easy layout, one fatal flaw

As the title explains, the content is great. Diverse and interesting. The layout is easy to use, clear, loads quickly and doesn’t at all feel cumbersome. The fatal flaw is since I’ve been using this app (it’s been maybe 4-5 years?), the app crashes every couple minutes. Every time I open it. This happened on my iPhone 5, my iPhone 6, and now my iPhone XR. I have tried restoring my software, starting my phone as a blank slate no info on it, fresh installs of the app, updating it, nothing. It doesn’t matter if you’re scrolling or at a dead stop reading a captivating passage, the app will usually freeze for a second and then the app turns black and a second later closes on its own. I’ve submitted this feedback to the development team a very long time ago and it seems the feedback was lost and improvements haven’t been made, I can’t recommend this app due to the frequent crashing - reopening the app takes you to a different place than where you left off reading.

It crashes every few minutes seemingly out of nowhere. They built in gesture controls, but those controls prevent you from scrolling back up the page because swiping up is the close command. It’s clearly hell bent on reliving video because the show an ad before every single one of them. Unfortunately, Written content is disappearing from Digg as they prioritize video.

Not sure why this app has a problem crashing for all these hears. But like, it legit does not work. If you get to read an article before it crashes, you’re lucky. That crash will soon follow tho. This happens across several IOS devices. So deleting and reinstalling does not work. ??♂️

I used to use Digg as a part of my news diet. This app is very very bad, it crashes all the time and doesn’t appear to be synced with the website. Do yourself a favor and just make a safari bookmark on your home screen.

I use on iPhone and I litetally cannot tab thru one article without the app crashing. I go back in and same thing happens over and over. I keep it around thinking it is going to get fixed in an update, but no, this has been happening for quite some time now.

Great content, and I really enjoy the desktop site. The mobile app is very buggy, and videos crash constantly! Please fix this issue and I will gladly update my rating. Update: The app seems to be back in fighting shape. Haven’t had a crash during video playback in a while. Thanks for the bug fix! Spoke too soon...... Constant crashes video rarely plays...9/8/18 2/15/19 Still crashing constantly, even on landing page. Cannot get through a single article without a crash
