Excellent resource

Alohalove421

I love this app for many reasons. It is invaluable for business, personal, for artistic & creative expression & when one needs to be professional in their correspondences. This app is invaluable & I highly reccomend it for anyone who wants to improve or expand their vocabulary & how to correctly annunciate new words.

Doesn’t work

Disappointeddtom

I wish I could get a refund and put it toward a simple dictionary app that works offline and focuses on being a dictionary / thesaurus more than a gamified social media app. This is ridiculous - gets more obnoxious with every update. If they focused on things that people need when USING A DICTIONARY this would be easier for everyone

I liked your former style and frame. I don’t like this new searching style that much. I feel it’s slightly demeaning.

The responses are understandable & proliferate and the enunciation key helps with word usage.

Little Accessibility/Disability Accommodation

mini_zOmbrie

The accessibility for this app for people who have low vision is remarkably bad. For an app that requires reading, the text options must be fixed. For example, if the text size reflects that of the iOS user, the thesaurus words all become unreadable and only show maybe 1 letter each. Similarly, the definition word will reflect the iOS settings and be enlarged (which is pointless because I already know the word I’m searching…); however, the text in parts of the app that actually require reading (i.e., the definitions, learners, examples, etc.) do not enlarge…I am further confused because the non-pro version of this app you are able to pinch zoom to read (great!), yet the pro version does not allow this feature?? So, if I want to be able to pinch zoom to read better, I have to use the non-pro version and re-purchase the upgrades, which I have already purchased with the pro version. The failure of the developers to fix these issues is borderline discriminatory. It is a simple fix that is well overdue.

Words do matter

Thanks this dictionary really help me with my bible study. It really give me the understanding that words do matter, when you understand a word. So thank you and God bless you endeavors.

UPDATE — Love it, no BUT about it …

Ravlef

I’ve loved this app for a long time now. I use it dozens of times each day. I’d give it 5 stars in a heartbeat BUT for the new popup that wants to “personalize” my experience and track me across apps. I get if you ask me once. But I shouldn’t have to repeat myself every third time I go on each day. Learn to take no for an answer, please! I’m ready to delete the app and find an alternative. The developer responded to my review. Apparently, Apple now requires developers to share these notifications when there are ads in the app. I wasn’t aware of that. I’d still love it if the repetition could lessen. Perhaps even just once — if that’s in the apps jurisdiction.
